I actually really loved the Astro Megazord. It was simplified. It was their Base of commands, living space, form of Transport, and Megazord!! The design and DEFINITELY the transformation were amazing. The Design also felt a little reminiscent of the original. Though I do kinda miss the fact of having 5 separate zords, I did love this simplified transformation.

While it WAS different for Power Rangers, this was actually old school for super Sentai; it wasn’t until Hikari Sentai Maskman’s Great Five that we got a component for each individual ranger/hero.

It also raised the stakes during fights since if the Megazord was destroyed the Rangers would be stranded and almost defenseless with no equipment on the planet they were on assuming they even survived. Basically a death sentence

I remember when I discovered this channel in 2010. My tiny brain thought it was amazing. For two years I waited for this review. On June 4th of this year I will have waited three years to see the next one (Season 7). Dear god, please no. Edit 5/10/2022: Forgot I commented this. Ended up waiting 8 years for Lost Galaxy. I can't believe that was two years ago, and that it's been 10 years since this video! Time flies, but I'll always love revisiting these videos :)

Love coming back and re-watching these. Astro-Delta Megazord is one of my favorite Zord combinations in the franchise. Something about it being a big hulking beast with shoulder-mounted gatling guns just does it for me as a giant mech fan. The Silver/Space Titanus has always intrigued me. One day (and perhaps it should be done relatively soon for the scarcity of the parts), I want very, very much to piece together a custom "Royal" Titanus using the limbs/"paws", chest piece/inner chest block, cannons, chain, and neck/head of the original Dinozord with the torso of the Space version. I think such a kit-bash would look phenomenal in the end. Just that all-ivory-and-gold motif throughout would be so cool. I think my biggest issue is that I'd want the Space Titanus torso to have all of its original stickers complete and it in great condition, as I think those would look best for what I'm going for on the body. I know I would be sacrificing the battery pack and accompanying gimmick, and I know such a thing would take a lot of time and a lot of work, but I know it would be worth it.

When I was at the Comic-con in Reading during the 25th-26th of November I saw the Astro Megazord which I bought, it was missing the two cannons and the blaster and the sword it had from the Lost Galaxy Megazord but it didn't bother me as I now have the Astro Megazord. All I need to find now is the Delta Megazord.

For the missing gun, I'd suggest looking into doing your own resin recasting, it's hard and requires a lot of precautions, but if it works for you, you can also use it to replace floppy parts like the booster rockets and the sword.

I too loved the Astro Megazord, and the Delta Megazord. Their designs just lent so well to playability and quickly switching between both modes. I was devastated when my Delta broke. Tried gluing it back together but it never held once I tried to transform it.

I'd like to do season 7 once I have all of the pieces to the zords. I also need to look into getting a new Stratoforce Megazord since mine began randomly crumbling in multiple sections. I've recently gotten Lost Galaxy on dvd so maybe watching that (for the first time) will be the push I need to actually trying to complete the zords and finally do a video on them.

On the contrary, Transformers had the jumpstarters back in 1984, though they were never featured on the US series. You pulled them back & let them rolled & they also automatically transformed during the process. There were also the battle chargers back in 1986.

For anyone who is interested, I have my own fan theory as to why the shuttle mixed so perfectly with the megaship. Now, I know how farfetched it is and how unlikely it is. But seriously, most fan theories ate out there. My theory involved Billy's unnamed "project" in Zeo. When the gold ranger first showed up, it was a mystery to all as to who he was. But Billy would just up and disappear, mere moments later the gold ranger would show up. Then towards the end the reverse happened. The first thing was that Billy was already the Gold ranger, just he may be forbidden to say. We learn of course, this not to be the case. But all Billy ever says is that he is working in something and will be revealed soon. Well "soon" never comes. So jump up to the Space episode where the chamber where the Silver Ranger's cryo tube is held within the Astro Megaship. Andros states that Zhane had been in that tube for two years. That would put the assault on KO-35 that put him there during the Zeo years. Zordon, being the brain of the universe likely is aware of what's going on, but understands that the earth power rangers are in no position to help. BUT! That doesn't mean he can't plan for the future. So, what do I think Billy's project was? I think he was working with NASADA to build the space shuttle to take A team of power rangers up into space when needed. There actually might be a sliver of truth to this, too. In the Turbo finale when Justin is able to get into the mission control and talk to the base commander. The way the commander reacts when Justin whispers into his ear where the rangers need to go has never been explained, but he rears back and exclaims: "Eltar!?" Like he's been waiting for some time for this particular mission to surface. Sorry for the essay.

I think I have a theory regarding the Mega Voyager and Mega Winger’s “combination”; On its own, Mega Voyager can only fly for a short amount of time under Earth’s gravity, and not very high either. There are more than likely powerful thrusters built into the Mega Winger’s wing unit that allow it or Mega Voyager to obtain FULL Atmospheric flight capabilities, where Mega Voyager’s built-in thrusters fall short.

I think the "zordon's plan" was more based on the black box than the specific shuttle. we know we see in RPM that the "Biofield" (aka, the Morphing Grid) can manipulate mechanical stuff to turn it into zords that are compatible. (with Venjix's giant war machine that they turned into a blue whale, that was able to combine with the ). I think that was Zordon's plan for the Astro Megaship, that he'd use the morphing grid to turn it into the Astro Megazord.

BTW, JTMitchell, the final attack for the Astro Megazord is the Flying Power Punch. When in the cockpit of the Megazord, Andros presses 01 on the Battilizer and after Andros presses that, the Megazord then shoots it's fists like missiles.

The ridges right under where MV2 attaches to MV3 is where you can put MV1 for rocket surfing. Its feet should clip between them securely.

For the Mega Voyager. One thing you didn't point out is that there is a clip on the side of the rocket which is suppose to attach to the hip of the megazord to give it some more stability. And you do need this because it's not really capable of supporting the rocket without it so it's nice that they had the foresight to include that. Also, the arms WILL get loose over time. I believe I sold mine already. I can't really remember if I still have it or not but you can see it on my second channel, RialVestroVlogs. I pointed out the loose arm joint that can't even support it's own weight without a weapon being held. Not sure why it was only the one arm that turned to crap. They were both nice and tight when I originally got them. Despite the lack of stickers whoever owned that zord before you I think took better care of the joints than I did.

I had the Astro Megazord as a kid. I am kicking myself for not taking better care of it (always misplaced the shuttle head). Also had (two) Mega Wingers, but I did wish I had the Delta Megazord. Space Titanus was released because there was no ultrazord for the Space series. Bandai thought that Ultrazord combos were an essential hallmark of Power Rangers, however the sales figures for this freak of nature would prove otherwise.

The way I would transform it, it’s basically taking the mega V2, attaching it where the head would go and then pulling the front part of the shuttle off to reveal the head.

I credit that with that after 5 years most of us who were 6/7 or so when PR started, were now almost 13, so at that age it wasnt cool.

Why does the Silver Titanus combine with the Mega-V? Even if Silver Titanus never appeared In Space, the Mega-V at time was destroyed before the finale anyway (I think). The Mega Winger was the last Zord destroyed, and the Astro Mega-Zord only had its blaster left (the shield's handle crumbled after being turned to stone hence after returning to normal the shield is never used, and the sword was destroyed by Ecliptor-X)

Because the new seasons have so MANY extra Zords, they find ways to bring them all together into a fucked-up-agon of plastic that usually removes all movement and makes your Ultra (or now Giga) Zord in the heavy weight range!

I have the MegaVoyager and the arm broke years ago. I still fits. MegaV2 fits on MegaV3 like a real space shuttle.
