I like how in the Japanese version the standard soldiers have seemingly real revolvers where in the American they have weird plastic toy weapons. Yet the culture around guns are very different between the two countries. Easy gun ownership in the United states vs strict in Japan. Yet in America they are much more strict on depictions of guns in kids media than Japan is. Just something I find strange.

The reason why in Timeranger, the dad is a bit stern is because it's japanese tradition. They need to be more of a leader than a father for their name. In Time Force, the dad is a bit more caring. I like how they showed the family views very differently but clearly for each country.

timeranger would still focus on their relationship as the series went on, but tatsuya's dad was a lot more stubborn than Mr. collins. timeranger also gave the character a tragic backstory, so you can kind of understand how he ended up the way he did

@@garretdrake2347 Timeranger indeed focused on that aspect(relationship between father and son), but that is not the main thing. Time Force focused a lot on Wes's growth and transition, but time ranger did not specifically focus on one thing but the whole team. The transition of the whole team from anxiety, depression to a kind of positive team. Also, the main protagonist in time ranger is better than Ransik. Captain Ryuya charged anything like a time-travel machine, history editor, time jets, time-shadow...this kind of time-master may fit the element of time way better. A hatred monster like Ransik is indeed enjoyable to watch, but he did not fit the element of time that well.

The best thing about this is how much detail went into recreating this scene. Obviously the timeranger scenes took place in a more urban business setting but the positioning of the actors and camera movements are spot on. While it is true that some scenes translate poorly(like the sudden day to night switch during the first Quantum/Time Fire morph) the look of love and care that went into doing this scene justice is amazing.

I have to imagine that a large part of it was so that they could reuse as much of the Japanese footage as possible. Can't use footage of the industrial park if you set your Western cast in the woods. Besides, that also takes a lot of the planning and guesswork about which angles to use. Ain't got time to re-invent the wheel- we got a production schedule to keep!

But here's the one thing I will point out and have concern to those that do upload full episodes of Tokusatu's of any kind on KZbin. Those have a much higher risk of getting their channels taken down by certain companies but may not because in the regions those people uploading the content is different that it would be where I am from. Saban Entertainment and other companies don't want me to show certain videos which is why they block some of my content only in some regions. I have some ideas already what content Saban, Toei, and others will block and I am respecting their wishes and upload them somewhere else (which is why I made the Dailymotion account). Music, Videos, and other kinds of Entertainment is something we all need to be wary of and respect those that feel about fair use content. Those were different times back then because I didn't know about much about the copyright laws within YT and with mostly Toei and Saban. If this is going to be said to me are you and others will be saying that to others that also post PR and Sentai vids on YT as well. There's are others that post a number of PR clips and other Tokusatus from different seasons (ignoring Neo-Saban channel because that's run by Saban). I know there's a number of people that have posted these kinds of clips and I don't see many others getting the same treatment. Frax are more tragic in Japanese. He is originally a homeless kid who protect Don Dolneo aka boss from another mafia, nearly died, then his brain got transfered to robotic body although the operation had side effect made him insane. He also the one who killed Don in the series.

disney era power rangers But it's only when it's necessary. They make their own scenes when you need to see the Power Rangers cast, see other races, when you need to see their own setting in New Zealand, when they use a Battlelizer, anything that doesn't happen in Sentai. When they're fighting it's usually Japanese footage. Disney did a lot better than Neo-Saban though. There's this one specific scene of original footage in Power Rangers that I hate. Saban's Power Rangers Super Megaforce kept using Gokaiger footage containing Rangers that were never used in Power Rangers. They should've been making new footage, but nope. They're on a budget. There's one scene where Gokaiger changed into some pre-Zyuranger Rangers and this is one of the few times Super Megaforce made their own footage, but the new footage is pretty much the same. The only difference is one Ranger is using Mighty Morphin' Red instead of VulEagle. They kept the other suits that shouldn't exist in Power Rangers. If that was the case then they should've not bothered and kept VulEagle if they weren't gonna change the other four.

Animemus, dino thunder had plenty of original footage because of the tyranno drones and the final fight with mesogog and trent vs. the clone not to mention like 90% of fight scenes in rpm are original.

RPM's morphed fight scenes were all 90% original footage, since they only used them for the Megazord fight scene. Lost Galaxy also had original fight scenes to include the Stingwingers and the final battle with Trakeena. Same for In Space because of Astronema and the Quantrons.

This was a VERY well adapted story, even if they had to tone it down from the far darker JP version (even if they didn't want to, networks etc). The funny thing is at a slight distance, Daniel Southworth looks close enough to Shinji Kasahara that they actually got away with using unmorphed stock footage of him in the Timefire/Quantum Ranger scene. I'm glad Eric did NOT perish however, his scenes in Wild Force were nice.

Giving this one to PR:TF surprisingly. The biggest draw for me here is the play between Wes and his father. The PR version spends much more time on the emotions Mr. Collins is feeling, particularly in regards to his son's ultimate reveal as Time Force Red, as opposed to the TR version, in which the father seems more concerned with just "fulfilling his destiny," so to speak, not believing he has a choice. The emotional build isn't as strong.

Also gotta take accounted for probably mis-translation in subtitle, since it is fan sub trying their best to type it in a way as close as possible for readers. The way japanese wording choice at that sentence could but "fulfilling his dream" or "complete your goal", cause their sentence structure is vague, which is tricky to translators to put it out for us. Though I do personally like the PR:TF for more sympathy for villain cast.
