What I find so bizarre about this season is that they have Angeria Paris VanMicheals of all people get an off-and-on villain edit. I've met Angeria twice in real life, and she's very fun-loving and excitable when around others. I even met her before a show last night, and not only did she remember me from the time I met her before, but she seemed more excited to see me again than I was to see her (and I was already pretty pumped to meet her again, so that's saying something). I highly encourage you to see/meet Angeria at a show if you get the chance, it's absolutely worth it.

It's obvious to me they're setting up this season for Roxxxy or Anjeria to win but in my opinion Plastique has been doing the best. If it weren't for that free badge from Nina and that controversial makeover challenge win, Roxxxy wouldn't have the most badges right now. It would be Plastique because all of her wins were fairly earned. The main argument for Plastique not deserving the crown is that she hasn't been able to win a lip sync so far. But then again, look at Jimbo and Trixie.

My thoughts exactly. I could see the top two being Plastique and Roxxxy w Roxxxy winning. Would love to see plastique win one lip sync tho. At this point she’s lost five (1 on 11 and 4 on AS9). If she can win at least one lip sync I think she could win the entire season.

My thing is Angeria has been consistent in EVERY challenge besides the makeover and she even has made cute outfits in the design challenges even if they aren’t extravagant looks! I think it’s weird how yall continuously discount what she’s doing to make it seem like she’s being pushed for something when she’s literally been blocked THREE times and still has been consistent!

IF Plastique can finally pull out a good lipsync in the finale (because she’s pretty much guaranteed to be there at this point), she has a nice storyline setup for her. The queen that won ZERO dollars for her charity so far despite winning the most challenges, ends up winning the most money at the end. That would be cool. But I don’t see her winning against Roxxxy or Angeria in a lipsync unfortunately, unless it’s a girly pop song.

This season is predictable, because of Angie and Roxxy’s storyline the whole season they will probably be top 2 and Roxxy will win because she has never lost a lip sync.

Imo, the format should stay with no one going home all season from now on but cut the charity gimmick. Then, each week a queen gets hexed (same as being blocked), however, the badge that would have been lost if said queen wins is instead stolen by the queen who did the hexing. I also think that next weeks challenge should be announced on the runway prior to the blocking so as too encourage the strategy. Every queen should also receive a badge doubler so that at the beginning of the week if they feel ballsy they will use theirs for the chance to win two badges for that challenge. For me, this would create a great playing field that could really make a non elimination season feel tense

Overall I like this season, I like the queens, I like the challenges... But non-elimination makes it feel like a painful purgatory

The format and rule changing are interesting. Personally I think it’s fine to have one mini challenge where the winner gets a badge, but if that was the prize for all minis it would make the maxi much lower stakes. You could effectively have someone in the top 3 who never won a maxi. As for immunity, again think that’s a good prize and maybe that coupled with prize money for the charities would be good every week. However the minis would have to be like the two where these better prizes occurred (challenges in which it’s ultimately down to the queens performance who won, and not a photoshoot or dance off etc where Ru/Producers pick the winner).

i think a good change for this format would be if they gave out a bunch of badges each episode. like say one for the mini challenge, one for the runway, one for each of the winners, and one for the winner of the lipsync. that way getting blocked has a bigger impact and also things like gifting extra badges is not as relevant

i feel like Angeria is just very misunderstood by the queens this season, it feels like she's an outcast because she may not share the same interests and references than the other queens which results in her being the "bullied" outcast. and i kinda enjoy it in a way, because as a viewer it makes you want to root for her very naturally, Angie was the queen i was the least excited about when the promo drops alongside Nina, and now im really rooting for to get the crown. The other queens are not being painted as super villainous either and are not always ganging up on her, so the viewers are not being totally angry at them, which makes the viewing experience better. Overall, the Angie/Roxxy storyline is one of the best hero vs villain storyline we've got so far in this modern era of drag race imo. I really hope we'll see a Roxxxie vs Angeria as the final lipsync of the finale, and tbh ill be satisfied with any outcome because we'll either get the underdog winning storyline which is always a satisfying ending or we could be surprised and have Roxxxie as the first "villain" to win a season and that could be fun.

I hated it. Most of the designs were basic af. Most of them wore a basic dress that went to thigh with some things stuck at it. Been there done that. Literally compare this challenge to any of the *THREE* S16 design challenges 😑

I honestly agree with nina on her reasoning reagarding the badge count. Angeria is totally within her rights to block whoever she wants, especially since half of the blocks this season have been revenge blocks. Still, i believe that mathematically speaking, plastique or roxxxy would ve been a better pick, especially with the outcome of this weeks episode. At 3 badges, it is much smarter for angeria to stop someone from getting ahead of her, then to not let someone tie her. Blocking plastique/roxxxy would ve created less possibilities that are “threating” for angie. imo though

Imo Plastique deserves to win this season. Ik her lipsyncing hasn’t been the greatest but I don’t genuinely believe that shouldn’t stop her from winning(a la Bianca/Jimbo/Jinkx/etc.). She has deserved every win so far and even deserved two more wins tbh(Ep1 girl group & Ep4 makeover). She has been strong/stood out in every single episode aside from the Snatch Game for me. I think they’re setting it up for Angie or Roxxxy but tbh that would be a really boring ending to the season for me. I’m not the biggest fan of RA but her lip sync wins have been undeniable. Angie struggled in the design challenges and Roxxxy struggled at Snatch Game/acting…so who knows

i don’t feel like there’s a format change…on other seasons the mini challenge prize has never been the same every time, in older seasons it was a call home or an advantage in the challenge, in newer ones it’s money or an advantage. so i just don’t see why it’s so bizarre that the mini challenge prizes have been different this season

When RuPaul announced that it was the last episode with the ruby red snippers, I thought next week was the last episode before the finale and it made sense to me because they gave 3 badges for each winner in that episode in AS7 and it would be very disadvantageous for a queen to be snipped in that last episode. I try to remember if a queen was cut in that episode, I don't recall... But now I hear that there's 3 more episodes before the finale, so I don't know. I'm pretty sure there won't be 3 badges per winner for the next 3 episodes, that would be insanity. I guess the short and sweet answer is the production wants to take control of the rankings without any surprises for them. Meh.

when its for charity and non elimination i don't mind so much about the constant rule changing and extra badges etc. It's whatever. That said, if they could never bring back non elimination again I would love that. I guess they can keep it for all winners seasons of seven queens or less. But gosh is every episode kind of just the same thing, eliminations change the relationships between the contestants and create tension among the remaining queens, without it the show is a SLOG. (That I am still watching, so it can't be THAT bad, but dang I could go for an all stars season that doesn't feel more about behind the scenes politics than it does about the competition.)

You could not make mik's outfit, many queens have attempted the braided outfit and it just doesnt look good at all, mik's looks clean cut and concise its a very difficult design to actually make even if it looks simple.

Because someone had to be the first. If we start asking the reason behind everything, it won’t be entertaining, but a lecture. Why lipsynching to decide the top? Because they chose that way
