What they always do, is stand up too quickly when their legs are stiffened. You gotta stay down on a knee and take the 8-9 count. You always look a fool on wobbly legs and it doesn’t look good for the refs.

The problem with that is refs like this guy Mark Smith, will end the fight if you're not on your feet by 8 or 9. I've seen him do it many times and I hate it. This fight for example was clearly an early stoppage.

Makes ya think the rules should be if you suffer a first slap R1 knockout you should get a grace period of a few minutes to regain yourself then you get one (only one) slap. If you KO the other guy then its a tie or it goes down to judges decision based on form or something.

At least give him more time to recover, and/or let him the chance to slap back and if his opponent doesn't get KOd, then you lose. And if het gets KOd then the judge determines who was hurt the most. But this is so ridiculous. I don't know what the winning guy was happy about, he just slap another guy without he could give him any opposition... 🤨

They need a rule change. If a guy gets knocked out first slap he should have 3-5 mins to recover and get one return slap. If he can ko the other guy it’s a draw if not he loses. This is a prime example for a rule like that. A champ shouldn’t be able to just keep winning without ever getting slapped because he wins coin tosses. Too much is riding on the coin toss if 20% of people win when they get first slap
