This exercise focuses on enhancing explosive power through the full body.
To begin, hold a dumbbell or kettlebell in each hand at shoulder level and grip the floor with your toes and heels. Inhale as you pull your hips down toward the bench or platform, and allow your legs/glutes to barely touch the surface. You should feel your core fully engaged and connected into your hips, and feel the tension between your hamstrings and glutes.
Pause briefly, then exhale and explode up through the legs, driving all the way into your toes while pressing your arms overhead to full extension. You want to feel your full body connect as you calves are fully engaged to stay pressed into your toes while creating a straight line from your ankles up through your knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, and wrists.
Inhale as you pull yourself back down into the next squat with a single fluid motion.
