You really need to put a load on these batteries to test them. With no load they can have good voltage but as soon as you load them down they drop like a rock. If you don't have a load tester, you could use something as simple as a car headlight bulb..and you can use a load tester for car batteries, too, like a 500-amp carbon pile tester.

I always test them with the power supply in test mode for a few minutes before I test the batteries. This way there is a load on the batteries because they are powering the plant.

So what fixed it? I am having the same problem, but my batteries are good.

Eric Oesterling I know your question is 3 months old, but more often than not, replacing the batteries is what fixes it. Sometimes it’s just the inverter that is the issue, but it’s not that often.

I'm new to the System/Maintenance tech world. Can you do a video on ac/dc powering for amplifiers and line extenders? Thanks!

My system i work in uses 3 to 6 batteries, once and a while ill find 4. The jacked up battery is always in the least accessible spot. Never fails.
