Great topic to speak on, one thing about me, is I have almost every brand of power tool, and also have battery adapters, a Ryobi battery can run a Milwaukee product, Amazon has them, every configuration possible, that way if you like a Milwaukee tool but don’t want to pay the extra on there battery, a $20 adapter can now run your power tool.🇺🇸

I've heard a lot of horror stories about those adaptors. I've heard some people say they start fires, and some say they will kill your battery so it won't charge anymore. I've thought about getting an adaptor testing it out just so I can recommend one that works for me but it seems all brands have a quality control issue. For every 100 good ones, there seems to be 1 bad one.

The sander for dust collection to use as fire starter

That's a really good idea. We could also put the sawdust in a char tin and turn it into char making our next fire even easier to start.

The same size battery and same type of tools are key the sander i feel is a safety item like ya said last thing ya want is a treated lumber infection they suck and as to making things look nice when the shtf ya don't want nice ya dont wanna stand out the heat gun would be a luxury item and not really needed for to much

Yeah, the sander really gave me a hard time. Making things safe means things won't get worse than they already are, but making things look nice and smoothed over will let people know you have resources and skills they could take advantage of. All in all, I think being safe is more important. Having the right tools to protect yourself from other people is just as important as protecting yourself from the elements.
