Power Vindicator in a Berserker meta

im betweeen power vindicator and power berseker, who is better in dps for this new patch?

Short answer: berserker is probably easier to get your mileage out of while vindicator requires more discretion Long answer: The incoming patch will reduce endurance regeneration from Song of Arboreum because the trait is getting reworked. Dodge spammers might feel that this is a nerf but I see more as a sidegrade. In answering which DPS is "better", you must first ask yourself what you consider "better" to be. I believe down contribution is a better metric for judging squad DPS because it only counts damage done to targets below 90% that directly result in a down. Any healing done during this interval is not counted. Much of the damage from longbow berserker stems from scorched earth. Therefore, if your target has 18khp and were to hypothetically take damage and go from 18k to 9khp and then healed back to 18k 10 times, and then finally go down from an arc divider, the down contribution will not include the damage that was healed 10 times. It will only include the damage that resulted in the down. In this regard, power vindicator is leagues above longbow berserker because it generates far greater spike damage, both at range and in melee which translates into more downs and therefore a higher probability of winning fights. However, as previously mentioned, power vindicator requires greater foresight because your 2 biggest damaging skills require you to hug your target which comes with great risk. Contrast this to berserker which has 360 radius on its hard hitting skills (arc divider and rupturing smash) and are also less restrictive with where you can use them i.e. you can use arc divider or rupturing smash at the edge of the enemy blob, minimising harm to you while you cannot really do so with the vindicator. If your tag never ever pushes deep or the enemy never overextends, your melee capabiltiies will be limited to just gs2, gs5 and possibly gs4 if they are close enough but with the berserker, you can count on that fat 360 radius. ok all of this is based in pvp experience yes ? what about PVE ? is truth berseker will be nerfed because this patch make berseker OP ?@@EruElpidus

@@EruElpidus vindi's 2 most damaging skills are gs2 and gs5? How about hammer damage? I haven't run in zergs for like 4 years now, but I thought hammer was the main damage dealer.
