Power Willbender in Raids | the "just-don't-get-hit-build"

i love willbender especially for the mobility it provides. the big downside of the build is obviously virtues and the thief rune. you have to flank, maintain scholar and don't get hit for aegis. its a lot of requirements for a class that does high dps.
i usually don't recommend dropping purging flames for advance since you have really good aegis application with your f3 anyway. I think running advance doesn't help you with the problem that you lost aegis, because if you lose aegis once, taking advance will give you that back, but it won't make you not get hit again so sometimes it will just be a dead slot so the only real way of fixing dropping aegis, is getting better at positioning and mechanics.
a bit about the povs:
for Dhuum you can usually use healskill at the end of soulsplit and go in, i died the second time here because i touched the lesser soulsplit field. for the ritual dhuum is supposed to look towards the throne so make sure that you don't stand in front of him for thief runes. i kinda fucked up there as u can see in the log
for VG make sure to not use ur gs5 as i used my first one in p1. you can delay it until the end of the loop and get 3 extra hits from the seekers (like i did in p2). if you consistently do that the skill can have the same damage/casttime as a symbol. Also you should obviously run Heaven's Palm as elite i just forgot. also make sure to use Litany right before the greens explode so you only drop scholar for a small time. for p3 you have to wait a bit with your fields as VG will be moved out. it is a good time to cast virtues or sw3 as you will skip that in the normal opener.
I don't have an optimized build for stacking sigils but after VG i just dopped the accuracy sigil on sword for a cruelty sigil. turns out thats just 37 worse than getting a optimized impact sigil build.
for Gorse you can always self block the slam with your f3. if you press f3 shortly before he slams you will lose aegis but since the virtue is still up your next few hits will easily reapply aegis again. If you don't phase with the CC you can remember to use your gs5 with the add spawn and get more juicy hits in. and in p3 - im not saying you should get egged - but if you do, you turn into core guard i believe and you get the free f3 aegis.
for KC he has a rather big attack animation. you often will lose aegis when going too far into the hitbox with your gs2 (like i did) so positioning is key here. here you can also use the gs5 for more hits with the statues/mechanic adds. make sure to flank in every burn phase, KC doesn't always look in the same direction. The orb collection phase takes 37 seconds. you can time it by looking at the boss timer in the top right or by looking at your colour buff in your buffbar. for white it is 25s on the buff timer and for red it is starting at 23s. also make sure to keep your symbolic avenger stacks up during this phase. during the pizza afterwards you can usually easily go in with your healskill and because of your mobility you can also stay pretty late before KC jumps but you have to save some virtues, as i did not in p3 and almost griefed the KC placement.
for sama i like to run rolling light as its 300 cc (and a stunbreak) on a 15s cd. it will be up on every breakbar. for faster groups rolling light is kinda suboptimal tho, since it is a rather long animation. i just take it here as its an 8man so i rather have 100 cc more. in faster groups i would just go for hammers. the shockwave from samarog is unblockable. so it will NOT strip your aegis. so if you have stability the only reason to jump over the shockwave is to not drop scholar but if you can put in a litany before you don't really drop that aswell. i would just always jump if i can do it during gs2 and just healskill if i cant use gs2. depending on the speed of your group heaven's palm might not be up for every breakbar so you will have to skip it for the second one. you can also consider pressing bane signet at the last breakbar of a phase as it is only dps loss for a short time. Remember to save litany for split 2 so you can go onto the balcony during 33-30% while sama does his slam and wont move for like 5s.

Why don't get hit? Is it squishy or is it because you need aegis. What happens if you do get hit? Is it viable to play or is it like deadeye, only good if planets align?

Having aegis give a 7% dmg boost not dropping below 90% hp gives another 7%. Therefore, don't get hit (although for willy this is fairly forgiving).

Yea i checked the log and he is first dead at the entrance and then at the exact moment last person collects their orbs he comes to life right outside of dhuum arena where the respawn point for gg ing is, my guess is that somehow something broke combat and he got the prompt to respawn

Found the answer for anyone reading this and wondering, its a bug that if you gg before the encounter starts you will ba able to respawn freely, the dhuum phase has nothing to do with it just lucky timing ig, been in the game for quite a while

your first and third aa fromt he chain are the best, the second is mediocre. so if you need to cancel aa chain, cancel after the first hit. on sword i recommend try to not cancel the chain as the last hit from the sword aa chain is actually 3 hits and that helps alot with your cooldowns
