PowerApps - Scan & Log Barcodes

Hi, started with following your videos and then followed a few others have built an asset tracker for our business to scan equipment barcodes to check items out, log who's taken them, when, and also prompt to take a photo of its condition when taken and returned. Works a treat! Just thought you'd appreciate knowing. Thanks to you and people like yourself.

Thanks for these useful videos. Is it possible to do this with an actual barcode scanner instead of on my mobile?

This is cool. It would be great to have something really simple where you scanned a barcode for a customer and then scanned item numbers and quantities for that customer. when done scanning all the items, click Send and it sends all the details to either a SharePoint List or CSV file that gets emailed automatically.

Is it possible to generate barcodes in SharePoint and have it scannable so when you scan the barcode it will bring up the info behind the barcode?

NOt all types of barcodes unless I have missed something. Only types I see are Aztec, Codabar, 128, 39, 93, Datamatrix, Ean, I2of5, Pdf417, QRCode, RSS14, RSSExpanded, and UPC. While that is fine for most things, (UPS, FedEx UPC codes....) it does not seem to work for the USPS tracking numbers. They seem something completely different and mmaybe of something called type 204? Considering they do most AMazon deliveries now this is severely limits the usefulness if that type cant be rocognized. Have you found a way to get them to work?

bro , some time we need to get scanning one barcode and this barcode having not only one information ,,, some time 3 some time 4 and so on ,,, but question is how we after scanning this code we distributed the information that comes from the code to deferent field properly because it only on barcode containing multiple information , like the name , phone number , age , other ,,, this is my question?

Hi, no, you cannot use the app without going into PowerApps as long as it was created in PowerApps. You can utilize different solutions such as custom code, but this will have to be out of the powerapps platform.
