I tried all of the power belt lines in my T/C Triumph Bone Collector and not one had a consistent group. I shoot a saboted bullet and can put a 3 shot group within 2" at 110 yards.

I like the Power Belt Aero Lite 300 grain. It's the black one with the red tip. Its the only one that makes a perfectly round hole in my target. All the rest make what is called a key hole mark on the target because the bullet is tumbling. The Aero Lite is the most accurate I have ever shot. At least that is how it is on my TC Black Diamond Muzzleloader. My 20 year old Black Diamond with this ammo and 100 grains of Pyrodex shoots a group of three all inside 2 inches at 100 yards. No deer has gone more than 40 yards, which is nothing.

Idaho hunter here. Just got my first muzzleloader. Due to Idaho's ridiculous laws/regulations regarding muzzleloader hunting, I can not be happier to have found PowerBelts pure lead options. They are the only brand I have found that meets Idaho's requirements for belted projectiles. Looking forward to putting them to use this hunting season.

Hello I used the Power Belt Aerolite bullet after watching several vids re: the different one. I switched to the Aerolite bullet and this year shot a Doe and was a perfecy heart shot but it went all yhe way yhrough and didn't expand. I shot 100 grains pyrodex pellets. The deer ran 30 yards. The bullet didnt expand like it did in the the Gelatin video. I use to shot aerotip but they went all the way through and no blood train. Thanks.

I've had very poor results with power belt "puddy belt". Sure they kill deer, but little to no blood trails and the bullets can break up into fragments. I was using the powerbelt Platinum. If you want to get a bullet that loads easy try the new federal bor-lock. I use Barnes Spitfire TMZ bullets and they retain almost 100% of their weight, solid copper bullet , two holes, blood everywhere

I have used powerbelt bullets and I do not agree they are clean shooting. I don't like the extreme weight of the bullets over what I prefer to shoot. I don't think there is anything wrong with them and many people use them but I much prefer round balls. I always get a through and through when I hit the elk and the elk falls just as dead. I also have somewhat better velocity.

I am deciding to use the Power Belt bullet or the T/C Shockwave Sabot Bullet both in 250 grain in my T/C Omega with two pellets. What would would be much more accurate in the Omega ?
@MuzzleLoaderscom2 жыл бұрын
Both will most likely work quite well out of your muzzleloader but the T/C Shockwave may be the better option here as it is specifically designed to work with T/C muzzleloaders. I would, however, recommend trying both to see which one you prefer.

PowerBelts would likely be a good option for you as they are extremely easy to load. I would recommend starting with the PowerBelt Platinums. I will include a link below. PowerBelt Platinum: muzzle-loaders.com/collections/all/products/powerbelt-platinum-bullets-270-338-grain

Awesome bullets they shoot fine. I've killed 24 deer with them since they came out. This year I started using some Thompson center 230 grain hollow point sabots with 60 grains of powder in my 97 cva muzzleloader. Because I've never used sabots. Needless to say they are more accurate. And way cheaper. Killed a monster 8 point and a nice 5 point last month. Both passthroughs with a hollow point and only 60 grains of pyrodex. When I was shooting 100 grains with the power belt and had less of a hole. But they are great. The aero tip with the green base. Just shoot what's more accurate in your gun.

I got pyrodex 50 charges and I believe 2 pellets is a full charge and have heard of adding another pellet for a "Magnum charge" but dont feel safe doing so. what power belt bullet should I use and how much powder? also any other info would be great.my rifle is 1:28 twist CVA wolf 50 Cal.

PowerBelt bullets suck. Yes they load easy, but more often than not, they do NOT pass through game, even thin skin whitetail deer. I have shot many deer with the hollow point powerbelts, with 100 gr Pyrodex pellets, and my results were, while I did manage to find MOST of them, in ALL cases not ONCE did I ever get a pass through, resulting in no blood trail whatsoever. I had to always pay close attention to the last place I saw the deer run off to and try following it's tracks. Ive switched over to sabot bullets and ALWAYS get pass through shots now. I will say that not all the sabots expand when going through a deer, but at least I now get an exit hole, which most of the time produces a decent blood trail. I will never shoot deer with a powerbelt bullet again.

@rayfeltz84777 жыл бұрын
youre using too much powder. you either need platinum's or to lower your grain. powerbelts like lower velocity under 1700 fps. they even say it in this video. try lowering it to 100 grains or anywhere between 70 to 100 seems to be the golden area. experiment with the sweet spot of lower velocity to see what gives you better accuracy. unless you plan on shooting past 100 yards then magnums somewhat better.

I have had good accuracy for a few shots. What they don't say is after several shots the lead starts to build up in the barrel. When shooting the pure lead bullet every shot deposits a fine layer and each layer build up and changes where the bullet is going to hit. The pure lead Power Belts are soft as butter and in my opinion not worth squat. If you want a lead bullet that is more consistent a paper patched bullet is the best.
@robertallen62537 жыл бұрын
idahoron everybody over the age of 5 knows that.lead bullets expand very well because of the softness of lead.they must have done something right because they killed more game and men than cecille b demille
@noboy3458 жыл бұрын
so the gas check is made of metal?
@rayfeltz84777 жыл бұрын
no it's plastic. what happens is the plastic cup at the base is the gas seal and the heat and pressure conforms the bullet to the barrel making it grip the rifling.
@ditchdigger933 жыл бұрын
Have they stopped producing the solids? I've never seen one in my area or even advertised. Seem to be hollow point crazy with them and probably why so many people don't like Powerbelt bullets. The so-called Aero tip and all of the tipped bullets are nothing more than hollow points and with pure soft lead, Expand to much in most cases.

Never had a Powerbelt bullet to shoot worth a damn in any muzzleloader I ever owned. Yeah, they load easy like they say in this ad. But the reason they load easy is that they are undersized and do not engage the rifling properly.
