The limiting factor will be the bottom end. He said the crank is only good for 1200hp. You could also make a lot more than 1200hp on nitrous too if the bottom end could hold it.

Would a 454 be better than 350 in a camper motorhome? I purchased an old vintage RV and the 350 is blown. I'm wondering if I should rebuild the engine or go big. If anyone has an opinion please lmk

I'd recommend the 454 unless fuel economy is a real consideration. The off idle torque from the big block will make a huge difference in making your RV more enjoyable to drive.

A 250 shot of nitrous really isn't that big for a 572. I wouldn't be worried about it until around 450-500 shot. Also, you probably need to go ahead and lock out the timing. If you are worried about starting issues you need to upgrade your starter and battery.
