POWERBOX 65 4M + 400 1M install

Did the installer just put the copper speaker wire on the white terminal? Copper speaker wires are usually negative-black terminal, silver are positive-white terminal. Unless they do the same on the speaker side, they just wired the sub out of phase.

What if I want to use a separate sub amp which is in the trunk. Tried and a rca extender but the trunk amp won’t turn on

The version of the 65.4 v7 that I purchase does not have any rca connections on the harness to connect the sub amp to it. Why is this?

Hi. I have a 2006 BMW 3 series Touring. The car came with the ‘base audio’ (4x door speakers & 2 under seat subs), but I have since upgraded to the ‘HiFi audio’ so I now have 4x door speakers 4x tweeters and slightly larger under seat subs. Everything is currently powered by the factory head unit, so if I install the supplies wiring harness with the 64 amplifier, do I also need the sub amp to power the factory subs?

I have done the same as in the video but my 400.1 turns on with any electrical activity, eg opening the door to get in, and conversely, the green light stays on for around 5 mins after I have switched the car off. This just happens with the 400.1 and not the 65.4. So can I ask, does the empty slot in the fuse box for the 400.1 need to be "always-on/hot" or "on with ignition/accessory" or does that not make any difference? In the video, the remote wire was not connected to the 400.1, is that only because you had set the input to high level.

The answer to my question if anyone is at all interested is to find an AUX fuse slot. 3 types of fuse slots - "hot" which is permanently live, AUX which is live on the first click of the key and ACC which is live 2nd click of the key.

@@kdj69 hi let me get one thing straight where did the rca cables red and White came from ? Are those the one from the PowerBox 65.4 that are stickning out where you adjust the crossover and the gain ?

@@karimsoufiani2147 Hi, the RCA cables are spliced into the rear speaker cables near the head unit. The loom I received had the RCA cables spliced into the wrong rear speaker wires. If you look at the back of the 65.4 you will see 8 rear speaker wires - 4 wires are input and 4 wires are output. The loom had the RCA spliced into input rather than output so I had to splice my own RCA cables into the output speaker cables near the head unit. I hope that makes some sort of sense. So to answer your question NO don't use the RCA cables directly from the powerbox as you may get interference as I did.

@@kdj69 i read that by switching the PowerBox crossover to full instead of hpf Will damage my speakers i mean i would love to skip adding an amp if i can just use the PowerBox crossover to full instead of hpf i have a set of focal Components in the front and coixial on the back do you think i can keep the crossover on full ? Since you get more bass out of the speakers that way or would they be damaged by the way my speakers can play from 50hz and up and the PowerBox crossover hpf is fixed on 80

Can someone please help me. I have the vibe slick 12" subwoofer. And the vibe powerbox 400.1. I am using the quick connect kit and have put them on the positive and negative for the front right and front left speaker wires from my factory head unit. I have not connected the remote wire as I thought this is the high level input and I would not need to. I have a proper earth and have it plugged into the fuse box in a slot I know has 12v. Yet I don't get the amp turn on when the stereo does. I don't want the amp to control the front door speakers I just want to get the signal to the sub. I get no lights on the amp when the radio comes on.
