About Sweeting Performance:
We build and Rebuild endless varieties of new and classic brakes for every type of vehicle and trailer. It started with George Sweeting as Power Brake Service in 1950 who worked for the railroads and Lockhead, then run by his son Bob Sweeting who learned about modifying cars while drag racing in the 60's, and Bob's son Matt Sweeting (who grew up in all of this) is now running Sweeting Performance, a company that designs and fabricates good looking and well working automotive products.
PBS was a Warehouse Distributor for Bendix for 20 years until they sold they sold their Power Brake Division to Bosch, which is when we became a special modification contractor with Bosch for their power brakes - which come on most new American vehicles. I had the honor of changing a hydroboost in a 90's 4x4 suburban with 250k on the clock. I'd say that is a pretty acceptable service life. It was truck used by an industrial laboratory to reach sampling sites in remote areas without road access and we were cruel to it.

Can this be used in place of a electric Hydro boost on a converted school bus, I have a 1996 B series Ford bus.

My 94 Nissan patrol diesel has a vacuum pump attatched to the sump for lubrication at the back of the alternator to supply vacuum to run the booster why would manufacturers use such a complicated system??
