That would be fun. I’m about 85% road and 15% trails. The bike paths in Eugene are awesome and love riding paved paths as well.

Hi Gary! Why did you upgrade your forks? Do you notice a difference?

I'm a bigger guy 285#, stock would bottom out every now and then. These seem better.

Quite a bit of difference. Doesn’t bottom out and seems way more responsive.

It might be time to upgrade to full suspension! I ride similar trails around The Willamette Pass and a hard tail would make it much more difficult. My wife just upgraded to an Allant + 7 Lowstep. She now is ahead of me on bike paths around Eugene. I’m looking at either the Rail 5 or Powerfly FS 4.

When you get a full suspension come ride the same trail. FS won’t help you at all. You’ll say the same. Hogs back won lol

Waldo Lake is difficult like that as well. I ride it with a non ebike and I have to carry my bike at several points. The full suspension really helps out. It saves your body from absorbing a great deal of direct pressure. The longer the ride, the more full suspension helps. It is not necessary when you ride on payment or open gravel roads. You have done several trails where it would help.

@@oregonfigs3314 The majority 70% is probably pavement. 30% the adventure side.

If I was to do it over again, I’d still get the same bike. Love it and works for me.

@@oregonfigs3314 we should try and meet up. I’d like to explore Oakridge area. Spring or Summer of course.
