Guys remember there is no time to chant Gayatri mantra. The greatest power of Gayatri mantra comes from your devotion, your belief not from rote chanting or time of day weird rules. When you are determined that this mantra will change your life then it'll for sure. Gayatri mantra has the power to awaken Kundalini Shakti who is hiding in your basal spine. If you chant this mantra with deep focus surrendering your ego it can do magic and wonders for you. Talking about me who was broke and jobless in 2013 and started chanting this mantra asking for help. What came after was unfounded for me. I saw Lord Shiva in my dream and me crying constantly. I started studying and reading Bhagavat gita and became extremely sensitive and spiritual. I got so much willpower and energy that i cracked 4 job interviews and finally i joined one company. I literally was sitting alone one day and was wondering what the hell just happened and thought "GAYATRI MANTRA IS AN ATOM BOMB" and friends i mean it. There is literally no problem in your life that Gayatri can't solve as it literally makes you a warrior from inside, super confident as if someone watching your back. Suddenly your intelligence becomes sharper, you start getting Voila! moments and bang!, you are like why the heck i didn't think it before. GAYATRI MANTRA OPENS UP YOUR MIND, Opens your higher intellect. Asking "Dhiyo Yonah prachodayat" is like grant me the all power wisdom to crack open the issues in my life . The only thing promise to mother Gayatri is to follow the righteous path. Of course the life went on and got busy and i chant mantras occasionally. Till days whenever i face insurmountable challenges i get on Gayatri mantra, Maha Mrtyunjaya mantra and Hanuman chalisa. Guys please commit to Gayatri and i promise you won't be the same person anymore.

Speaking from past mistakes here - do not chant Gayatri mantra for too many times post 7pm like 108 times. Activates the brain in a way your sleep is affected. Activates the inner sun at an abnormal time.

@@hiraljoshi3608 for sleep (again, experience) use om namah shivaya or a mantra that has shreem beeja. These are all soma stimulators. But even these should be chanted very gently for sleep since you want more tamas than satva. Satva will bliss you out but keep you awake.

Gayatri mantra is a benign mantra and it doesn't affect your sleep or resting in anyway. You could say that about Sudharshana Mantra or Mahamrityunjaya Mantra but not Gayatri. That said, I am not recommending chanting at bedtime, but if someone feels agitated and wants to calm his or her mind, there's no harm is saying it within oneself mentally.

Here's what great men say about gayatri mantra: According to Vishwamitra, there is no other mantra like Gayatri mantra in all the four Vedas. All the Vedas, Yagya, charity, tap (de- vout austerity) are not equivalent even to a small portion of potency of Gayatri mantra. According to Parashar, “of all suktas and Ved Mantras, Gayatri Mantra is the superiormost. Between the Vedas and Gayatri, the latter has an upper hand. One who performs Gayatri jap with devo- tion becomes pure and gets liberated. A person without Gayatri worship cannot be considered a Brahman, although, he might have read Vedas, Shastras, Purans and history”. Swami Ramteerath said “the most important task is to attain Ram (God). The purpose of Gayatri is to remove intellect’s craving for sensuous pleasures and inculcate in it deep interest for God. He alone can attain God whose intellect is pure and stable. There should be such purity in the intellect that it may consider Ram greater than kam (sensuousness).” Vivekanand said, “only that thing should be begged from a king which befits his dignity. Spiritual wisdom alone is the most suitable gift which could be asked from God. God grants spiritual wisdom which leads to advancement on the right path and results in our happiness. One who is advancing towards the truth always remains happy. Gayatri mantra is instinct with spiritual wisdom and, therefore, it has been acclaimed the greatest of all the mantras.” According to Mahamana Madanmohan Malviya, “Gayatri is the most precious gem which has been given to us by the Rishis. It purifies the intellect and enlightens the soul with the light of God. Countless souls have been liberated from worldly bondage by its Sadhana. Gayatri has the power to inculcate feelings of devotion to God and bestows worldly abundance. Gayatri Sadhana is essential for brahmans. A person who does not perform Gayatri jap is guilty of neglecting his primary duties.” Thus, besides the views expressed by the ancient Rishis, seers etc. there is vast collection of opinions of several noted and eminent intel- lectuals of the present century on the basis of which it can be con- cluded that Gayatri Sadhana is not a blind faith or blind tradition but is a well-tried and tested sun-lit path of spiritual growth. Whosoever has taken refuge under this supreme Divine Shakti has swiftly and uninterruptedly advanced on the inner pilgrimage of self-discovery. Gayatri Sadhana never goes in vain.

@@rajesh-qj5wf yes basically mantra first taught was by ur father during ur initiation process now by ur teacher guidance u can start practising pls don't be frightned emotional and psychologcal changes go forward after the few months u will feel nature and ur freqncy getting same as this happens don't stop go forward gud luck
