Nama Trayi Mantra:
We are all aware of and are seriously affected by the ongoing #COVID-19 Pandemic and Health Crisis. We at #Devipuram have put together a recording of 108 recitations of the powerful Nama Trayi Mantra chanted by Pujya Guruji Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati .
अच्युताय नमः अनन्ताय नमः गोविन्दाय नमः
acyutāya namaḥ | anantāya namaḥ | govindāya namaḥ
In Guruji's words:
The Nama Trayi Vidya is Maha Vyadhi Vinashini.
While chanting one should concentrate 12 digits above the eyebrow level. It eliminates great diseases, long-term troublesome diseases like cancer etc. The sequence of the names chanted is important.
This mantra is most effective in this time of Pandemic and its most useful to chant or listen to this mantra throughout for relief.
The mere mention of this mantra dispels fear from our mind. At first glance it may seem like a simple mantra, but according to the Puranas, it is anything but that. We are familiar with the story of the Churning of the Ocean of Milk and Lord Siva drinking the Halahala (the vilest of all poisons). But what many people don’t know is that Lord Siva recited the Nama Trayi Mantra before doing so. Moreover, Sri Lalita Devi in #Lalitopakhyana used this mantra to destroy the Maha Roga Astra, employed by Bhandasura to create great diseases. Such is the power of the Mantra.
Sri Vidya Upasakas
Upasana in Sri Vidya tradition involves the practice of mantras, as Vidya means mantra and knowledge from an Upanishadic point of view.
From the Brahmanda Purana- The Lalitopakhyana which contains the oft recited Lalitha Sahasranama, describes a battle between Sri Lalita Devi and Bhandasura .
Lalitopakhyana illustrates how Sri Devi Lalita fought directly with Bhandasura: “Bhandasurendra nirmukta sastra pratyastra varshini” .
For each weapon Bhandasura uses, Lalita Devi counters with an Astra. The Chakshusmati Maha Astram, Maha Mrutyunjaya and the Abhayankaram Aindra Astram are some Astras used by Devi. Bhanda then deploys the Maha Roga Astra to create great diseases and Sri Devi uses the Nama Trayi Vidya to destroy the effect of that.
All the subtle forms of these Astra Mantras are found in the collection of mantras called Rashmi Malas, contained in the sacred tantric scripture Parasurama Kalpa Sutra, which is followed by Sri Vidya Upasakas and used as a daily practice.

अस्य श्री नाम त्रयी महामन्त्रस्य काश्यपात्रि भरद्वाजा ऋषयः अनुष्टुप्छन्दः श्री महाविष्णु परमात्मा देवता अच्युताय नमः बीजं। अनन्ताय नमः शक्तिः। गोविन्दाय नमः कीलकं जपे विनियोगः द्विरुक्त्यैर्मनु नामभीर्न्यासः
समस्त दुरितध्वांत संघ ध्वंस पटीयसे
अच्युतानन्त गोविंदनाम्ने धाम्ने नमो नमः
