Well, I just watched a live cam from the Hilton and there are 2 cranes standing above a construction site. I wonder how much damage will they cause because they are coming down. The first part of the eye is now at Hope Town. Marsh Harbour is not in the eye yet; your area is in the Yellow layer of colors just before the eye and so things are "tame" just now and will quiet down even more when the eye is over you. After the eye moves past you it will get really bad - be ready for that.

There is another video from the same reporters after they were finally able to get a connection to the station again. They are okay but she said even despite living in South Florida she had never experienced a storm like this. She said they are surrounded by total devastation and was trying to get the word out to government officials through the news station that people there desperately needed help. I can not even imagine the damage there since the storm stalled out at 185+ mph winds. I really hope most people heeded the warnings and evacuated.

The resorts have "bunker rooms". They are usually located in the strongest most elevated building. They'll be okay. It's always a risk but the people in real danger are the poor people that live in sub standard houses.

From what they have described, the ‘bunker room’ walls are block or concrete, the doors to the ‘bunker room’ failed. Doors and walls may have been designed for wind loads but not dynamic wave loads. In Florida, the building code addresses wind load but defers to FEMA regarding wave loads. FEMA addresses wave loads by requiring buildings to be elevated, if they are within a certain distance from shore and expected to receive a storm surge. The area below the occupiable space must be supported by columns without structural walls so that water can flow threw during a storm surge. Very foolish to put these reporter/employees in harms way with no real protection. Employees and native population are all at risk.

Well prayers has saved ZERO lives so far, so keep up the good work, while science saves millions of lives every single year. If "miracles" is the way to spot "GOD", then todays God should be science, and nothing else. Because the other miracles magically stopped when the video camera was invented.
