Kota my GOAT. Rewatched this multiple times and it really hits that he runs over to Midoriya and is like "I HAD to come. I thought I HAD to be like YOU!" Kid is what 5? Lost both his parents and it nearly took Midoriya's life just to ensure Kota's safety. Having that same kid come back to you in your worst moments and saying he was encouraged by your previous actions must be an insanely great feeling. Especially since right now Midoriya is desperately clawing at the coat tails of All Might. Trying to regain what he once ensured. Kids looking up to kids looking up to adults who were once those same kids. Hell of an anime.

It's funny because Midoryias crying is actually proof that he's more intelligent than people like Rob. It takes an emotionally intelligent person to feel so much empathy with everyone and how they feel. He is a "true man" the true being of compassion and sacrifice. If you think crying makes you weak, you're actually a lot wimpier than you think tears could make you.

@EZrahGaming All Might has cried, we seen a lot more with the true All Might form. All Might the hero is a persona to some extent, we seen this shown since ep 2 when Deku sees his true form and how he acts then compared to before. Mirio has cried before too at least once. It's Deku's empathy that makes him reach a new level of heroism even beyond them of even attempting to reach out to whom society make deem as "villains" to just fight and not try to understand. Like how he reached out to Nagant. And we see how Deku is later paid forward with his level of empathy by those he affects.

@@ezrahgaming As Rae C said, Mirio cried and Almight cried too actually plenty of times (unless you disregard TRUE Almight over Muscle Form). They are not immune to emotion because they are heroes themselves. Hawks if you look closely is almost about to cry (his trembling eyes says so). Heck, even Endeavor cried like a baby and Aizawa cried too.

He is the best new gen shounen protagonist IMO. He is relatable, has a good heart but isnt perfect and has certain flaws. His motivations and his journey is really commendable, went from a bullied quirkless kid into an important figure with all the pressure of society on him. Asta, Yuji, Boruto, Tanjiro, Denji, Shinra, none of them can top Deku IMO.

5:20 - *Deku didn't even cry 7 times* this season either. Only once during the war with Gran Torino/Aizawa, last episode, and this one (only like 3). Like when his mom was saying goodbye to him at hospital and she and All Might was crying, he didn't even cry then. Made up a random number. lol This is one of seasons he cries the least times, but the last part being intense due to level of emotion (as warranted due to his best girl's words).

I wasn't counting but tearing up I feel shouldn't count as "crying" because they probably counted the one where Iida saved him, and if I remember their rules correctly they count separate times in the war if he's still crying when it's probably just one throughout the war.

So in total it'd probably be 4 I feel so god damn ridiculous to check if he cried in 2 separate episodes LMAO

(Big text alert lol) I don't understand what's funny about making fun of someone crying as if it were something bad, if someone wants to cry they can do it all they want, and I don't know why he mentions shoto out of the blue if he's the first one who told him that crying wasn't nothing bad, that even heroes can cry and in the previous chapter he asked him if his responsibility did not let him cry, as if it was preventing him from being himself, Deku is not afraid to show his feelings, even when he was quirkless, when he he was 4 years old, when he was crying and shaking that never stopped him from defending a little boy from 3 bullies with quirks and he sacrificed himself for the boy causing them to hurt him instead of the boy, the message of the scene "crybaby hero" It's different in the manga and it's that in the manga she says "thank you for saving me my crybaby hero" that scene represents how proud Horikoshi is of his MC and that being a crybaby is not a bad thing and it doesn't prevent you from being a hero either

I hope you reading all the comments. (although I don’t think so) To be honest, I only watched at your reactions because I already knew in advance. The comments gave me answers of your "analyses". Whether you like it or not, Izuku is the main character in his story. First. I don’t understand how you can be so disinterested in the emotions of such an emotional moment because your favorite character isn’t there. You might as well not watch. Izuku is the strongest and nicest person I’ve ever seen. Crying doesn’t make him a bad hero, on the contrary. That’s why I love him. Only tears prove his kindness and gratitude to those he saved. I remind you that Izuku is only 16 years old and I find it disrespectful to laugh, to mocke while someone is crying. (Even Shoto said he had the right to cry in episode 23. Learn to read, please !) Do you know how hard it's to have the weight of the world on your shoulders when you’re insulted by others people ? Izuku found himself alone for several days, without sleep, without eating so as not to put his friends and others in danger. He thought like that before he was saved and understood that there are people as strong as him to continue the adventure. It's normal for him to cry and fall apart in those moments. What's wrong with Deku crying tho. He was bullied his entire life for not having a quirk (Bakugou tells him to commit suicide first episode) but still deeply yearns to save people. He's become so selfless that he only views himself as a vessel for OFA rather then a person. He spent a month fighting villains pushing away everyone for the sake of *everyone* else.

yes, but she said it in a gentle and grateful way, in the anime she say crybaby hero but in the manga she say "thank you for saving me, my crybaby hero" its a very big difference, not like others who use it as an insult, the symbolism that horikoshi wanted to give to this scene of "my crybaby hero" its because he knows the hate for Deku to cry alot so he made that part to show that he is proud of his MC and being a crybaby doesnt stop you for being a hero and that its not even a bad thing, people are just toxic

A lot of the public, including the crowd, that was turning into an angry mob, was already putting all the blame of the war's aftermath on every Hero and Hero Student to some extent, but mainly on Endeavor and whole Todoroki family, Hawks, Best Jeanist, and even All Might. Now they were putting a lot of the blame on Deku as well. The manga even showed the other Todoroki family members are there too but in a different location at the school for the same reason. They needed someone to blame for their suffering and they were all easy targets.

The idea of it going a certain direction may relate strongly to other people, you shouldn't devalue someone else's feelings just because it's entertainment or just an anime, it is very natural to want to relate. In Asia especially in India suicide rates are very high for teenagers especially when it involves the education system, if you can imagine the motivation a simple cartoon can do for you or even a simple action anyone can do for a person, that's something you shouldn't downplay.
