I would compare management and leadership from a manipulation view. Manipulation - influencing others for personal gain or hidden agendas, without their consent. Management - Directing others, ideally with a balanced and fair approach, taking into consideration both the organization's goals and the well-being of its employees. Leadership - inspiring, and guiding others toward a common vision or goal while fostering growth and collaboration. As leadership by default is assumed to be non-manipulative when such techniques are used we distinguish between Ethical leadership VS Manipulative leadership. References on techniques used in the video: Negotiation techniques based on Robert Cialdini "Pre-Suasion" book. Anchoring techniques (with other cognitive biases) explained in Daniel Kahneman "Thinking, Fast and Slow".
