I used to love to fly in 727s. You could really feel the power at takeoff. Flew through a hurricane over Cuba once. Strong plane from back in the day when they didn't worry about fuel consumption or noise pollution.

Thumbs up for no winglets! But, if you think this was loud (no doubt it was), you should have heard them before they were demasculated with hush kits (lengthened exhaust in this case). I miss seeing these awesome jets. They once filled the skies.

That old girl hasn’t been re-engined, just hush kit, not sure if it makes that much difference in noise. Gotta love straight turbojets.🛫
