I grew up in Ireland and when I was in Medjugorje I met so many wonderful Irish people. Faith in Ireland is definitely being tested, but it’s allowing the very faithful to shine. My oldest and dearest friend in the world (ironically a COI Protestant) that I have known since I was a child, said to me “Peter, I’d love to see you, BUT I don’t want you to see what has become of this country! I’m more than blessed to live in an area of the U.S. where the faith incredibly strong. Communion on the tongue is very common and Altar rails are back in style! I’m immensely impressed with the Irish that love our Faith
