on a serious note though, I can totally relate to the concept of karma - I don’t yet know the islamic name to it. I harboured some bad thoughts in my heart towards someone’s irresponsible financial choices, and these arrogant thoughts remained only in my heart and were purely judgemental (i.e. did not encourage me to communicate with the person and advice them with compssion and mercy). Fast forward two years later and I’m not in the best financial place myself and I feel like I made some of the most irresponsible financial decisions. It definitely comes back to bite you! Compassion is the way to go!

@@Millielai12 Thanks love. Everything is simple in theory, but 100 times more complex in practice. We can tell someone who is struggling, for example, to be strong by Allah, but are we really doing that ourselves in our dealings with them and in our support of them? Now that requires deep digging in our hearts and what we find can be truely shocking to ourselves. Compassion can include drawing necessary boundaries with love and mercy, or what some people refer to as tough love, which also requires strength of faith. As well, those who received ilm are much more responsible to put it into practice and make it نافع than those who did not. One however, shouldn’t lose sight that all the ilm they attained is Allah’s doing and is Allah’s blessing as one can fall into misguidance just like that if He swt wills, so arrogance should really stay out of our hearts, and to me that’s an everyday struggle. Sometimes I think I’m humble and far from arrogant, but when I sit and analyze my behavior and tune in to the underlying thoughts in my heart, I find that the root is arrogance and beliefs of superiority. It is a struggle of mine for sure. Okay I rambled so much! YT comments can sometimes make a good place for reflection.

@Based Brah Saying a god said something is wrong, does not make it objective. It’s only your opinion a god exists, and it’s only your opinion what you think that god says or wants. Saying “ a god said X” Does not make it objective God told me it’s ok to murder … so I guess it’s ok.

@Based Brah Of course things matter You seem to be making the mistake of thinking that if something has no meaning in eternity, then it has no meaning at all. Let me ask you this If your children learned how to sculpt Ice, and for your birthday made a beautiful ice sculpture … would you say That will melt, so it’s absolutely meaningless … I don’t think you would. The car you drive now, you will not have that forever … if someone took it … would you be upset ? “ he created morality and orders it” Who is this “ he” , a god Gods do not exist The god you think is real exists in the same way the 1000s of other gods people worshipped exists … as an idea in your head. Your god does not exist in reality , no gods exist in reality , they exist in the minds of believers. Gods have the sane explanatory power as magic did it. The problem with using gods as explanations is that a god can be defined to be anything you need or want it to be. It solves nothing. You say “ a god stops the problem of an infinite regress” Where did you hear that ? Some religious apologist trying to justify the existence of a god, There is no problem of an infinite regress There never was a time when the universe did not exist.
