Nice plugin. A novel idea, and very clean interface.

Hey, yeah it's def a time saver with clean UI!

This will speed up my work a lot. I like to do a lot of different transitions but they take time to make. I can't wait to get my hands on this.

Is there any special efx that are special from what you could do in bitwig or ableton? Seems like a container for up to 7 stack-able efx, assigned to a big macro knob? we have LFO controllable efx and macro in bitwig, so what makes Transit "special" ?
@MattiasHolmgren Жыл бұрын
Transit makes it dead easy to make good sounding transitions for anyone, in any DAW. Of course you can replicate most of this stuff in Bitwig. But it takes a while to set up. If you have Bitwig and know your modulators you are fine. 😄🎉

Could have used an XY pad or at least multiple macro knobs to blend between instead of one big knob.
@MattiasHolmgren Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, could have used X-Y modules and hook them to a Gyro midi controller (OP) for ultimate transition gallore. 👌😄 One knob method is the simplest way of controlling multiple params. For this particular simple ”ride” this is def enough. Esp if you are gonna ride it with your midi controller. But you are right, you can make it 100x more complex if you need / want. 👌🥳

this plugin is gonna save a lot of time and cpu resources ngl

Time saver indeed! I haven't really looked at cpu performance yet, but it's rarely a problem with these apple silicon macs. Gonna try it out on my PC later.

If you have Phat FX, is Transit worth it?
@MattiasHolmgren11 күн бұрын
You can do wondeful effects and transitions with Phat FX and BeatBreaker…other plugins in Logic. That said something like Transit is very quick and straightforward + tons of presets for quick access. But its not ”necessary”. 😃🥁

why transit from babyaudio is not in splice rent-to-own?

Great video Mattias, however I do wonder how much I could do in Bitwig using macros and the amazing modulation.
@MattiasHolmgren Жыл бұрын
Hi Iain, definitely! Like I showed in my Bitwig 5 episode (using project controls / macros) you can definitely setup similar effect chains and transition controls. But it is tedious and require fiddling. This plugin is very instant and hands on. You don’t have to do much to get quick and awesome transitions going. Glad you enjoyed the video Iain! 🙏☕️😃

The video is nice, although I would personally have preferred an independent and critical review instead of affiliate marketing disguised as a review. Reason for me to unsubscribe from this channel.
@MattiasHolmgren Жыл бұрын
Sorry for your misunderstanding. My video is not disguised in any way. I didn’t get paid to look at the plugin. I only get a uber small portion from affiliate sales…if there is any. I look at new plugins because I find new tech interesting. I didn’t find anything particularly bothering with Transit. It’s a well designed plugin.

@@MattiasHolmgren The plug-in was only released a couple of hours ago, so you must have had early access, and you make not ONE single critical remark about the plugin. You've launched your video almost at the same time as Andrew Huang's launch video for it and the plugin itself. The whole thing gives off the impression of a marketing effort concerted by Baby Audio, rather than an honest in-depth video by an independent producer. I'm glad you took the chance to respond to my criticism, I'm sure there are others who aren't bothered by this and it's a nice demo of the plugin! I personally prefer independent, critical analyses and having affiliate links available and a completely non-critical review doesn't give me the feeling that this is what I'm looking for. Just wanted to be honest as part of your audience. Best of luck!
@MattiasHolmgren Жыл бұрын
@w2dv436 yes, I do get early access sometimes. And also in this case, as Ive been trying out a few other Baby Audio plugins in the past. I don’t try out all, only those that interest me personally. If you’re doing modern EDM music this is a nobrainer plugin as it saves time setting up complex transition effects. If you look at my comments around you can read I did respond that similar effects can be done for example in Bitwig, but takes time to do (obviously) and you have to know the process and tools. I never said this was a proper review video with pro / con, or comparison with other similar plugins. But I do respond to any questions that arise in the comments. All good. 👍🎸

@w2dv436 I recommend trying the demo and see if its something for you. opinions are like the wind, free, and blows in all directions.

@@MattiasHolmgren Sure, it's just that as a subscriber for some time, I am trying to tell you that I used to value your opinion and videos, because I thought they were independent and critical, but videos like these degrade that image *for me*. I know that that is not something nice or friendly to hear and I'm sorry about that, but I feel that honest feedback is important and that we as viewers should push back on marketing videos that may not be as independent as they seem.
