Great reaction video :) TARKAN is the best all the time. He has many great hits though, except the global hit Kiss Kiss. In Turkish we have an expression named "dudu dilli" which refers to the woman who speaks nicely and kindly. Dudu dilli means "sweet spoken lady". If a woman is dudu dilli, she can conquer everybody's heart with her warmth, sincerety and sweet sentences and attitudes. :) The song is not melancholic or depressing. It is about a break up story. But the man, Tarkan himself, tries to reunite with his girlfriend. He says, "oo oo she knows it, she loves me back but she is stubborn to come back to me". He praises her that she is sweet spoken lady with beautiful blue eyes like sea." etc :)) It is a love song, flirting thing :) Tarkan's songs are mostly positive with sweet lyrics about love, affection, flirting. In the songs, he mostly positions himself as the one who is begging for the love, compassion, consideration or mercy from the other side. Just exact opposite to the social status he has in Turkey :)) He can make everybody love him easily but he acts like he needs to make effort to make other ones love or chase him. That's why people mostly associate themselves with the lyrics. Because ordinary people have these kind of problems :DD

P.S: the cast of the video is mostly consisted of Turkish celebrities at that time :) and yeah Tarkan has millions of fans in Turkey. You can see Tarkan's İzmir concert in 2022 on KZbin that 2 million people attended. He drives us crazy :)

The song was written by Nazan Oncal for Tarkan Dudu means Woman if i Remember correctly this was a huge Hit at the time. You should try Biz Nereye it’s a Rock song by Tarkan from his early years. Check out the live Harbiye 2015 concert version because this song doesn’t have an official video! Thanks

Translation wisses some important (not literal) parts like : 'sen güldüğüme bakma' is more like "don't think anything about me appearing to be laughing"; then 'gör de duy da inanma' is more like "you can see it or hear it if you like, but Don't believe it! So the depth of the song doesn't pass through the translation for some weird reason! Such a strange communication difference! More 'tuz buz oldu' is "shattered" to 10's of thousands of pieced..

I noticed the English translation refers to "he" in all of the verses but all of those words are addressed to a "she" instead. The reason for the confusion is that Turkish is a non-gendered language so there's no distinction like "he" or "she" but one pronoun only: "o". We native speakers understand it's a woman from the context but translation programs generally have a bias of translating "o"s to masculine pronoun. Not cool... :)
