Thank you for keeping Raymond Scott's music alive. Few people know his name, but they know his music when they hear it. It is the music of the children of the 20th century. It's part of my soundtrack.

lots of coastal hepcats know his name. _and nobody else._ that's the thing...in 30plus years of rediscovering Ray, his music has spread deep but not wide. there must be a reason. there's something about it that's too hectic, too jazz flavored, and in the case of the revivalists maybe just too urban-esoteric, to appeal to listeners outside the burned-over districts of culture.

It's impossible to listen to this without thinking in a industrial process. So used in cartoons!!

I wish this had more views. I love how you all made it your own without losing what makes it special. You almost lost me towards the beginning with the slower tempo, but it quickly became clear what you were going for and it works so well. I’ve never heard a cover of this song before that wasn’t a huge step down from the original. This is totally on par with the original. I will definitely keep coming back to this.

Why call it a “cover”?

@@joksal9108 what do you mean? Are you saying this isn’t a cover? Genuinely asking. Is there another word I should use?

I feel like I heard a few hints of Carl Stalling influences, especially before we entered "the factory". Beautifully played gentlemen!

WOW! Beautiful! A thoroughly faithful yet original variation of this grand classic. I'm betting Scott would have loved it! Carl Stallings too!

Wow, so many things going on here, going extremely well. I noticed a smidgen of Gershwin, rounding out the fast and slow "industrious " sections quite lyrically. ALL instruments played flawlessly! Well done!

Good grief, what a fiendish reworking of a classic tune. 10/10 would flip over it again.
