Hi Iain, put a CT clamp around the Powerloop tails and then configure it in the MyEnergi system to be an AC battery. You can then set the MyEnergi system to Avoid Drain of the AC battery. This may prevent the Zappi and Eddi from pulling when it see's the battery discharging even with an Export to the grid????

Thanks for the video and update Iain , you can tell the eddi to discard xx amount of export before it heats the water, and assume you can with the zappi also , down side to this is when the solar is exporting and you want to Hoover up all the power it won’t unless you change settings again Cheers Chris

Hi Ian. Thanks for all of that I have a Nissan Leaf but because I own it I can’t do what your doing at the moment so following all of this with great interest. I have solar which I’m paid when I export at 53p a unit so I make good money at this rate, had solar for about 8 years, generation pays me about £1,100 a year. I also have a battery and I wandered how that would work if you had that on your system ? Thanks Bob from Kent.

Excellent video Ian. I want to get an EV but only if I can exploit the benefits of V2G. I don't fancy the Leaf, but there seems to be little other choice. Why do you think that is? All the best B

Hi thanks B! It’s all about standards evolution, right now the only standard that can cope is Chademo which isn’t on that many cars, as it’s effectively lost the war to CCS. CCS may have a v2g option in future but until that happens and cars are produced with it it’s not going to be available any time soon unfortunately.
