I’ve been listening to this song a lot since I’ve got out of the military.I’m surviving fine and well but that’s all I’ve really been doing. I need to be living on top of surviving. What is the point of being free if you can’t be what you want to be. So push a little harder work harder so you can really live free. That’s my two cents for anyone out there trying to get ahead.

This is the best song this band has ever done. This song hits hard when you realize what he's saying. Loved this song as a kid but the impact of the lyrics never hit me until I was a little older and I realized that the world is far from a perfect place. Thank you PM5K for the years of inspiration.

We all have to figure that out sometime. My first memory of that was music related. It was when my parents got divorced in the early 80s and I ran off with a friend to see Black Flag. At the show they played a ten minute obnoxious song that was supposed to drive out anyone who wasn't a fan. I thought about life during that song.

As a teenager I never really cared about the lyrics of this song, I just liked the sound. Listening to this now, I'm actually surprised this holds up so well. It's not like it's some life changing revelation, but somehow this feels really sincere in opposite to so many other lyrics.

Hey, Powerman 5000, I bought this album on day one. I was so sad when I saw critics rip this album into pieces. At first listen, I just enjoyed the music. Then, I went back and studied the lyrics. This is a really deeply written album. Case in point: FREE is a great song with deep meaning. Are we as Americans really free? I haven't felt free in a long time. Every tv, film, media and so is trying to control how we think. As a result, my generation truly feels lost. We are so connect with smart phones, social media and bs... that we have become slave. There are a lot of really great tracks on the whole album. It is very personal and I hold it in high regard. Thank you powerman 5000. I appreciate this art.
