The RE's looks and customisation options are on a different level altogether. But where it really matters, the Honda seldom has any competition in the engine and overall build department. I've known people who are still using their vintage Bullets from the 70s till date, but the current production line seems to be more inclined towards numbers. I hope they match the refinement and smoothness of Honda engines.

@@mayur1818 I meant in terms of big but commuter friendly bikes. Give me one bike in the commuter 150cc segment that could match the Unicorn. Bajaj Pulsar reigned for such a long time but always had HH CBZ(my first love btw) as a competitor. Heck, I still dig the RD 150/350 and the Suzuki Samurai. Yamaha's Fazer did come out and also had the FZ, but they are very performance oriented, overall good bikes. So yeah I know, Honda CBR Fireblade still sweats against the Yamaha R1 and there's no question of the quality, but are they light on the pocket? I am talking overall, commuter oriented but also a bike with some style. The old Bullets still work and they had quite robust engines. Make no mistake though, the Honda is still one of the primary contenders to Yamahas.

I prefer Highness its smooth, vibration free and looks better..meteor resembles Thunderbird... Most of RE users use aftermarket silencer to get that dug dug sound its not company fitted. Company fitted silencer is silent one. For higway ride we need better top speed too..in that case highess reachess 130kmph

According to people that have ridden it and reviewed like powerdrift they are all saying there's no more vibrations in RE meteor either. It's a new engine with balancer shaft. Exhaust note is more bassy on the thunderbird. Highness is just loud it's not as thumpy or with enhanced bass. That kind of sound is more dependent on the sound that engine makes it itself and that comes from RE engines. What you're talking about aftermarket exhaust happens with classics. RE has always used supressed exhaust sounds on classics not the thunderbird. Thunderbird previously also had a more pronounced sound and more bass. This Meteor sounds exactly the same as the thunderbird I had in 2016. Meteor also is a full blown cruiser with that seating stance and forward footpegs. Highness isn't. Different looks, seating geometry and styling

Honda Highness all the way. Refinement of Honda engine is extraordinary, vibrations are minimal, substantial power makes it good for cruising as well as smaller turning radius is excellent for city rides, light weight while driving, exhaust note is awesome and feels less bulky than RE meteor. If one wants to compare Honda Highness compare it with Jawa 42, that'll be a comparison.

Your review is not upto the mark you missed alot such as dual ABS, slipper clutch,HSTC( honda selectable torque control system), gear shift indicator ,side stand indicator, mileage, dual horn, and much more since this bike available at hondas big wing showroom servicing done is far far better and cheap then RE , meteor is just another junk from RE it would never compete hondas refinement and reliability.

I'd rather buy the CB350. Honda has nailed it in the refinement, fuel efficiency, fit and finish and MAINLY SOUND!! Stolen the bastion from the king itself. RE only if they hasten up with the 650 Cruiser KX650, whatever. To be honest cb350 is better in every way: Cb has a lower turning radius as compared to meteor. Cb has greater power figures as compared to meteor. Cb has torque control systems. Cb has traction control as well where as meteor doesn't have the traction control. Cb has led headlight where as meteor has halogen. Cb has metal mud guard in front where as meteor has a plastic front mud guard. Cb dlx pro comes with dual horn where as every version of meteor has a single horn. The clutch on cb is lighter than that of meteor. Top speed of cb350 is 130 km/hr where as top speed of meteor is 122-125 km/hr. Cb doesn't have any vibrations where as meteor starts vibrating a little after 105 km/hr. And we all heard the exhaust sound as well cb 350 is a clear winner in that area too. The only demerit in cb is that it won't give u power to overtake in 5th gear where as meteor will give u that little amount of torque in the 5th gear as well. The main issue with cb is it's availability, meteor is available everywhere in india but cb is only available in the big wing showrooms.

I am riding RE CL 350 since 6 years. I am not big fan of brand. But I love motorcycles. After riding this much RE everyone knows the quality issues we face with it. However everything is manageable but being honest the vibration we feel after 80 km/h speed is not longer manageable we have to ride at lower speeds 75-80km/h which is better to keep us free from vibrations of handlebar. & Why should I prefer to choose RE further more after this much experience, Simply I will keep my current RE bike AND obviously go for Honda CB 350. Reliability of Honda motorcycle is known to us but if I buy CB 350 and later on limited service network will be big issue for me. The bigwing Honda showroom is 250km far away from my town. So I will wait for one more year for CB 350. Meanwhile more genuine reviews will come.👍🏻

Why don’t u go for a twin cylinder like interceptor or gt where there are no vibrations? Of course single cylinder will have vibrations. Meteor seems to hv ver less vibrations and you can cruise at a speed of 100 without having any issues. However single cylinder engines always suck

Well !! Bajaj Avenger 220 cruise bhi inn do ke sath kandhe se kandha mila ke bhag sakti hai. Tough fight de sakti hai. Avenger 220 cruise most underrated bike.
