It's 7 months later and you probably have already figured it out, but... Increasing smooth end makes the final seconds of the animation slower so that it doesn't end abruptly. It will slowly fit into place instead.

On the shape format tab > click shape fill > click more color and change the hex code, also you can copy any other color code you like to there

I know it takes 3 times longer to demo something than just do it, but I think I could write a program that does this same effect in the same amount of time. Still good to know, but that looks very manual to create. I am learning 3D animation using this software called IClone, and the thing I like the most is I give it a start position, scale, rotation, etc. and the values at the end and everything gets filled in for me.
