I tell you something about buying second hand skoda(,1) start car and pull out negative wire black in colour from battery of car,if car remain start then alternator of car is ok.( 2) check Ac after then after 3 to 4 minutes pull out gaje from engine to check engine is giving blow or not.( 3) check power windows & locking of 4 doors of car,if any window is not working or door is not locked after when you come out of car,then _module _ of car is not working,then get it changed everything will work.

I own skoda octavia 2008 km driven 1,60,000 Service cost 2500 to 3000 max Easy avilàble secondhand spare parts And till now no clutch plate cost no turbo no cost no electronic part expenditure very very low maintenance. Only service time to time And timing belt changed timely

That is really great, you are quiet lucky sir that your skoda has not given any trouble... the car is well built so it will still run if you have weak turbo or clutch so just check with your mechanic once as majority skoda or any diesel cars after 1 lakh or 1.20 lakh kms need to service or change turbo and even clutch... second hand parts for body is good but for engine you need to put new parts... 3000 is just for oil change not service sir, if possible would like to drive your car and check myself if possible

I m from Mumbai I also own skoda 2007 its a fantastic and great joy to enjoy . provided u have have a very very good Mecanice yes after 1 lakh km I got fuel pump clutch plate injector and part serviced after that not looking back but my car gives me 17...18..in Mumbai on highway 20...22 kmpl . nothing's to beat this model .balle balle

@@prabhjotsingh5373 Hi if premium diesel is available in your city you can go with that, otherwise any fuel additive can be used I use Adon D for diesel and Adon P for petrol.

Hi whether 5w40 shell ultra helix fully synthetic oil can be used for 2008 octavia 1.9 TDI model..also is there any specific oil filter to be used?

Yes full synthetic oil from helix or Castrol also is good to use... 5w 40 is good grade form these two brands for skoda. I haven't used any specific brand of oil filter so u can use any brand as it has to be replaced on every service

Skoda Octavia is a better choice in terms of maintaince, good average, good power and different types of modifications available after market... other hand skoda superb is more of a luxury car with good power and low mileage, it has higher maintenance and even not much modifications are available compared to Octavia

Minimum 5 years to 7 years is safe and will cost you 60 to 70 percent less than new price... you can also buy 10 year old car in much less price but only if it is less driven and well maintained.

I can't guarantee anything as government is getting strict with pollution norms and BS6 has also implemented so might be that after 15 years diesel variants would be banned or limited... right now there is no problem

No, it is way higher costly in maintainace than wagon r. Example a orginal clutch for wagon r is under 5k and Octavia is 40k approx, plus more features means more parts to maintain which will be costly again

Petrol variant 2006 ki aapko 60k tak aani chahiye in good condition, petrol pe mileage 7 in city and 10 to 12 on highway hai... general maintaince around 3200rs hoga with oil,filter, coolant etc and service. agar koi major part replace karna pada toh extra jayega

Aap kitne kms chali hai car pehle wo check kariye, 1) tyres kab change hua hai ? Around 60k kms or 5 years. 2) clutch Kitna purana as every 35k to 40k kms pe clutch and flywheel replace karna padta hai. 3) suspension Kitna hard hai or soft hai as uska life after 70k to 80k mein change karna padta hai. 4) engine tensioner belt & turbo after every 1 lakh kms ke baad issues deta hai and wo bhi change karna padta. 5) saare electronics like central locking, remote, power windows sab chk kariye as inka repair costly hota hai and parts bhi costly hai.

Company maintaince is always better beacuse they have all equipments and knowledge about their company, outside mechanics are also good but sometimes they are not able to match that level of service beacuse they deal with variety of cars... if you want to service and repair in budget then outside mechanics are cheap but u need to find a good one as skoda and other German cars are advanced and they require good mechanics.... if you can easily bear the company cost then doing regular service and parts change is service center is good

Only change parts if needed, u can check your clutch, timing belt and tensioner, engine mounting, Turbocharger, clutch cylinder and suspension as these parts need replacement after crossing lakh kms so check first then only replace because they are quiet costly to replace...

Hi, skoda superb is good car but it has lot of maintaince issues because of which the resale value is very less and u might get a 2011 model petrol around than 3 lakhs. Maintaince wise parts are costly and major work which shows up in 2 to 3 years is clutch and transmission... rest car is really good to drive and very spacious, handling dynamics are also good. Cng hybrid is possible with sequential kit but that might effect engines performance and will give small issues every now and then.

Rapid ek compact sedan and iska automatic mein city 9-10 kmpl and highway pe 14 to 15 kmpl max hai. Skoda Laura ek proper sedan hai and uski petrol automatic mein city 7 kmpl and highway pe 12 kmpl hai approx... chalane mein laura is better than rapid and powerful but maintai mein rapid is cheap to maintain

Normal oil for diesel engines from any brand is ok... oil only prevents engine from damaging it doesn't make any extra boost or power so use any brand u wish... try checking ur clutch, turbo, diesel pump and diesel injectors
