What a pile of sales pitched gargon and spin. Powershell is a very good product and has some very nice features. It is, however, essentially a vindication that UNIX (including it's child GNU/Linux) has had it right for that past 49 years. That ultimately the fastest, easiest, most productive way to administer computer systems is via the command line using an interactive programmable shell environment. And as for the 'digital transformation' anyone with an ounce of knowledge of the industry and more that 5 years experience in IT knows full well the digital transformation occured 2 decades ago. And all the vendors are doing now it trying to repackage things every few years to up their sales.

Sales? Really? PowerShell is an open-source tool set that runs on multiple OS's. Yes, command line is a fundamental interface (and it predates Unix). Yes, I'll admit that my OS experience predates Unix. Growing up near Bell Labs, my friend's fathers were creating the first utils for the first 'nix variants. Later, the Minix news group morphed into Linux after this brash grad student (Linus) forked the Minix code base. Take a look at PowerShell with an eye to the pipeline handling. All structure manipulation is object-oriented. 'nix tools are file system oriented, not object oriented. This approach is something to appreciate, not to whine about. Check it out...

100% this is sales bullshit. I liked him, now this video has put me off. He's good when he teaches you Powershell, but not the sales bullshit. It's a massive spin to sell Azure, that's all.

@@DavidJuddDove Thank you, DJD, for your insight: PS -- pipeline; 'nix -- system. PLUS, I really like your referral to all the --ixes programs as " 'nix ." Good on ya', mate.

@@TheStevenWhiting Thanks, SW. I'll find another Stover vid. I agree that JS is really good when he trains PS. He partnered with Jason Helmick earlier; I'll look for that series. Thanks for saving me time.

"Outsource, outsource, outsource". Yeah great. Explains why Windows 10 updates have been so "f'ed" as you keep saying recently, because you "Outsourced" the QA to the users who don't actually test it properly. "Take that software as a service". I liked him, now I can't stand this because he's turned into a sales spinner. "Run in the cloud". Erm, no because if you look into it, it turns out to be more fing expensive to run software as a service and in the "cloud", fully, in Azure than it does for a small business to keep their own IT team. "We're down. Lets log a call with Azure". Azure - "Sorry, you're a tiny, tiny company. You're at the bottom of our list to get back online so you'll have to wait". 11 mins in. At what point does the fing Powershell parts start?

You're so toxic while you do not even grasp the concept of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. If you use a SaaS offer you never interact with the OS you just interact with an instance of a program. It's ironic that you state this on a SaaS videoplatform.
