What makes Nightdive so fantastic is that they not only remaster games, they make games that deserve to be remember be back. What games you'd like to see them remaster in the future, by the way? I personally really want a port of Blood on switch. And... who knows... maybe a remaster of Goldeneye 007...? Nah... that's not going to happen. But what if...

honestly i preferred the pc version. Better more memorable level design, while the console versions have tight bland corridors. Also each weapon has its own ammo pickups instead of having to rely to randomized ammo pickups that give ammo only for the weapon you have. The bakctracking was confusing since every area looks alike. Sadly there is no remaster of the pc version but since its build engine you can use gdx or raze sourceports to get mouse and strafing. speaking of source ports, the kex engine gave modding capabilities to blood fresh supply someone made a gameplay weapons and enemies mod called extra crispy that worths checking out, i hope this also gets mods. Also there is a mod for doom that is a remake of the first few levels with new stuff such as a shotgun, its worth checking out...and nother thing worth's checking out is ashes 2063.

I remember searching for that gamme back when i owned a saturn in elementary school ut couldnt find it available anywhere! I stumbled into the rmaster a few days back and bought it immediately!amazing game so far!

I 100%ed each of the achievements of PowerSlave Exhumed just about a week prior to writing this comment. It my 26th and latest game on Steam to set foot on my Perfect Games list. PowerSlave is basically Metroid Prime before Metroid Prime existed! Both games having enemies that are worm like lava monsters in several of stages with lava in them. Nice video btw!

Picked this game up (PC version) back in the 90's from a local supermarket of all places. I have a rather soft spot for Egyptian themed levels (so the Serious Sam games get _some_ love) but I remember really enjoying the entire game. Frustrating... yes but very satisfying when you finally finish that level you've been dying on for a couple of hours.

Being an FPS vet, I played through this first time on Hard, and I regretted that before long. When several randomised pots in a row killed me, I called bullshit and started using the health cheat just to get through the game in a reasonable time! Wish I'd watched this excellent review beforehand as I'd probably have stuck to Normal if I'd known about this little devilish design decision.

Hope Iron Maiden doesn't sue Nightdive like they did to Ion Fury lol. I hope they make a physical copy on consoles for Powerslave Exhumed. Definitely would buy 1 as I've never owned or played the PS1 or Sega Saturn versions. It may happen as the Shadow Man Remaster recently got one for both PS4 and Switch. Speaking of GOG, they've got all the Crusader: No Remorse/No Regret and classic Syndicate games on there too. Wish those would get remastered for both current consoles and pc as well. Same for Soldier of Fortune. SCP Pandemic, while rough Early Access, might be worth a try too.

@KIRK COLLECTS, Did the PS1 original release in those paper/plastic long box or the regular CD jewel case? It's probably gonna be Limited Run, they did the physical copies for Turok 1&2 and Shadow Man. Although, Sifu's physical copy is being released through retail stores. So, ya never know. Dream Nightdive Studios remasters would be Aliens Vs Predator 2 and The Punisher 2005. We haven't gotten a great Punisher game since the 2005 one. I think there was a decent Punisher arcade game or Sega Genesis one...

You can't. It's primarily Saturn with aspects of the Playstation levels mixed in

No you can't the levels are mostly based on the Saturn version with additional bits from the PlayStation version added in. The only exceptions are Cavern of Peril and Kilmaat Colony which were completely different between the two versions so the PlayStation versions are added as additional levels but renamed to Well of Souls and Kilmaat Sanctuary.

Shame they didn't put mouse look up and down along with reload animation for the shotgun in there N64Doom remaster. Personally they missed the mark for me on that remaster it could of been done better giving the player a choice to have it on or not for the purist. Apart from that it did look good but just needed better lighting giving it a more immersive look shame that cant go back to it and add these into it then i would play it. So far i played the doom ce version as that has the reloading animation and lighting adding to it with the option for mouse look through the gzdoom and you do need the night dive wad to play it. But i am just fed up with installing the game through gzdoom and all the ticking to make it look nice when night dive studios could of done all this and make it a more simple setup with all these new lighting effect and mouse look if they took the time to do the remastering right and adding a simple on or off setting is all they needed to do. In that way also giving a choice to have a new look or keeping it to the original look so that way it pleasing everyone and doesn't change the gameplay as you wont need auto aim on. But if they added jumping then yes that would break the game and pointless why i don't have it on through gzdoom ce doom version. But there remaster of powerSlave looks impressive and so does there latest remaster of star wars dark forces that i also played when it game out originally back in the 1995 and yes it has mouse look up an down lol

Honestly this game would be so much better with a regular health and ammo system. I think I’ve been playing it on normal or maybe hard and it’s bullshit. I wouldn’t even mind too much if the ammo orbs would just fill up all of your empty guns after filling your equipped one but it just doesnt. Oh and i miss my quicksave key

I'm glad you are a GOG affiliate, but from now on I will always prefer Steam whenever there's a choice. Seeing how GOG completely shutdown the market for the Russian consumers. I mean this just a slap in the face to a lot of loyal consumers, many of whom probably preferred GOG over Steam. I'm glad I wasn't one of them. Just goes to show you: never put trust in a corporation.
