I just recently purchased a 22 dodge challenger scat pack widebody, The front wheels are just coated with brake dust it’s terrible. I’ve been thinking about changing out the pads I just need to find the right brake pads that admit a lot less dust. I also noticed that the back wheels stay fairly clean but the front constantly coded by brake dust within an hour of driving it. I believe I’m gonna change mine out much sooner than later thanks for the video gave me a lot of emphasis for changing mine out thanks.

Zander13 - Nicely done Pal. That said, I am going to purchase the same pads and rotors due to the car shaking when I brake. Just bought this 392 and I'm pissed that I have to upgrade becasue the rotors are craps. If I had the tools and my back was in good shape, I would install myself, but I cant.

Any updates on if it's harder on the rotors?

Did these in my Track hawk , they work ... little less stopping power in the cold but nothing major I think

Just put a set of rotors, and pads, Z23’s, on my car. So far, so good? Love them.👍Especially for the price. About $100 bucks per wheel, for slotted and drilled rotors, with the ceramic carbon fiber pads? Can’t beat that👍

How fast did those new ceramic pads wrap your rotors?

I've put these on two different cars, one a hellcat, one s pickup. Both worked great EXCEPT both were extremely grabby when dead cold. It's bad enough that light brake pressure almost locks the brakes for the first 2-3 short stops. Are there any other good pads that don't do this?
@johnk8155 жыл бұрын
I’m surprise the Pistons go in with hand pressure alone. I usually have to use a giant channel lock.

How often you go through pads and when do you replace your rotors

Yeah I hate that black finger. I do that all the time. I'll have to check on these for the Mustang. Thanks for the review of these.

Wondering if the pads will create more wear on the rotors like performance pads do on other cars. Cheaper to clean dust off than replacing rotors more regularly.??

Liked your video. 2 things I would like to know: 1- do the caliper pistons move back with just hand pressure? #2- where does the grease go? Thank you. I have never done a brake job but will be doing one soon on my Challenger SRT 392, same brakes as on your car. Looks simple enough. Thank you for the video!
@Zander13Productions6 жыл бұрын
Yes hand pressure and i never used the grease. Its very easy to do on these cars.

You didn't use the grease they provide. It prevents piston sticking...they provide it for a reason. Also...you didn't seat the pins all the way...you need to tap them all the way in from the rear. I'm sure it will be fine...but you didn't do it quite correctly. I did mine the day after I bought the car...they are absolutely the way to go.
