Excellent work yet again by PTTP. Completely first class and unique audit style that show things for how they are. These jobsworths made an utter fool of themselves - the manager guy seemed to cowardly disappear and leave it to the G4S staff to resolve. The JobCentres these days seem to have nothing but propaganda / childlike posters about work related matters and they seem to advise you to seek a job elsewhere (presumably online or via a QR code). Most of the posters have QR scan codes but as mobile phones are banned it makes you wonder about the mind of the people behind this pantomime. It makes you wonder what the purpose of these places are other than to employ G4S staff to hassle you when you enter. They seem to be the most unfriendly, cold and unwelcoming places you can imagine (apart from Police Stations if you can find one that is still open). Great work PTTP - many thanks

@@SLEEP-236 All property is private, even property paid for via the tax payer. The only property you own is the one you have the land deeds. if you have a personal rental contract on something like a house you have certain rights but you still obviously aren't the owner. Once a landowner or representative (doesn't need to be a security guard) there is no difference between trepassing in your home and well anywhere else. Ignore all the crap about public access all that means is you aren't automatically trespassing by being there, the second you are asked to leave you are. You don't have a right to be in any building whatsoever, you don't even have a 'right' to be on the streets (police have plenty of powers to move you on). The issue with a lot of places auditors go is the security guards aren't really paid enough to risking their necks throwing people out, but the legal situation is no difference to a bouncer throwing you out of a pub. There is an absolute requirement they do so if the publican wants to keep his licence. The police don't want to deal with every issue

In a way, I don't really want to watch the second part. I shall probably watch it, but I really don't like to see people being mistreated. It is scary to see in terms of the lack of communication skills and the absence of de-escalation abilities. As someone who is black and thinks that people should be hired on merit, I think that employing people who don't interact with the public to any great extent is a mistake.

Wrong wrong wrong, security guards and in fact anyone can use reasonable force to remove (civil) trespassers, in the case of of licensed premises its actually a legal requirement that they MUST do so or the license will be removed. Reasonable force in this case is likely to be anything short of the trespasser ending up in casualty
@forthfarean2 жыл бұрын
@@jons9721 no ,not at all. A private place ,which at the material time is a public place , can refuse to allow a person into the building if they so wish. . But the person must be allowed to leave first. If he does not leave the force used must only be as much as is necessary to eject him. Excessive force will be an assault and battery, the assault could be of varying degrees. Ejecting a trespasser is not an excuse to beat someone up.
@jons97212 жыл бұрын
@@forthfarean I did say reasonable force which is certainly going to include minor cuts and bruises through i would imagine just leading someone out would be better if no (illegal) force was used in return. There is no such thing as a 'public place', there are places where the public can be assumed to have access but that is never a right, its a privilege that can be withdrawn at any point. You have no right to be in a shop or any building you do not personally own. You don't have a right be in your work place just temporary permission
@forthfarean2 жыл бұрын
@@jons9721 No . Any wound or injury without a strongly physical resistance would be assault and battery. There is such a thing as a Public place ,it is defined in law as being anywhere where the public are allowed to enter without payment at the material time. It still remains privately owned and as such the owner or his agent can withdraw consent to remain on the premises. A public house is so called because the public are allowed in without payment although it still remains privately owned. A publican can ban an individual. A place that at the material time is a public place and privately owned cannot decide that certain categories are barred unless they cause a nuisance. Under race relations laws an owner cannot ban a person on grounds of colour ,race, religion or sexual preferences unless they cause a nuisance . It is not so clear about banning a white individual however because he is not a protected category.
