I had the exact opposite experience. The first ls engine i got from them was leaking from the front seal at the 500 mile oil change. It started misfiring due to lost compression on four cylinders of one bank so they sent me a replacement head. The front seal was replaced under warranty but it wouldn't stop leaking. Sonce i had purchased the one time no questions asked warranty they sent me a replacement but blamed all my issues on the installer. I went with a different installer that i knew i could trust. Leaked from the front seal on the first oul change. It was also making a strange noise. A third shop recommended by them said it was a blown thrust bearing causing the crankshaft to leak. The company wouldn't warranty the situation saying i must have either raced tge truck or towed an enormous load. I had done neither. I've actually never even been to a racetrack. I highly don't recommend this company. They build shoddy products and won't stand by them. Every mechanic I've talked to including the dealer, said that they had gotten over on me. They certainly did but never again.

Thanks for sharing your review. Currently I have a 5.3 with over 260k. Looking into getting a new to me engine when the time comes. So far Jasper is out of the question after so many people complaining about them.

I hadn’t had any problems out of the jasper motor I purchased but that was early 2004. I need to get the transmission rebuilt in that truck now, I still have it.

I got 330,000 out of my original 5.3 before I had a valve squeak and then my oil pump went out so I ordered a power train engine for $2600. Waiting on the install now. The reps at power train are a lot better than Fraser, Fraser wouldn’t even call me back and couldn’t answer simple questions and seemed irritated that I was asking. Didn’t even consider Jasper.

Do not buy from this company. They will not honor the warranty. You get what you pay for. It’s cheap and you will get cheap engine. I learned my lesson. Pay the extra money and get a quality engine

@@chrisjones1137 you are not the only person that has said this. Knock on Wood, I hadn't had any problems with my engine, however Sunrise on Covington Pike in Memphis almost caused me to have to install another one by not tighten my drain plug after an oil change,., since then I've pretty much done my own maintenance

What's up bruh! I'm searching for a new 5.4L to put in my Ford F-150 now. I just got off the phone with Jasper and they quoted me $5600 😳. But, Power Train Products has it listed for $3,299 online. How is the engine running now and have you had any issues with it. Also, how much did you pay? Thanks!

I am unfortunately having to have the engine replaced now and is currently have been going back and forth with Dan in the Warranty Department since the 27th of June. The Engine is covered under warranty but as of close of business July 6th they hadn't shipped the replacement engine to the shop. Dan has been my person of contact and seems to be helpful, He's supposed to call me with the tracking number and email it to me. i will be doing an updated video soon

@@gunny1391 it was a bent push Rod or collapsed piston I was told, it was making a loud popping noise and had a misfire when I took it to the Shop. It was metal on the dipstick and in the oil pan.
