I am crushing so hard on Ishikawa. I just love it when he flies from the back row, but his powerful serves, high vball IQ, smart spikes (yes, very smart - he knows when to change strength and speed), solid blocks, and suave sets are too die for, too. Just an AMAZING player. I do not get easily star-struck, but I definitely will if I see him. Oh how I wish I could watch him play live and meet him in person. Sigh.

I started being curious of the Japan’s Volleyball NT because of Nishida’s jumps that went viral back in WC 2019. But after watching the games, this guy really really caught my attention. He’s a friggin all-rounder and he does amazing in all those positions. He wasn’t the captain during that time, but he was already showing that he can lead and be very reliable. A really smart player! It’s always a joy to watch you on the court, Yuki!

I used to watch Japan team in VNL because of Yuji Nishida's powerful spike but surprisingly hook now because of the talented rookie Ran Takahashi ,now playing for Kioene Padova Italy....and was impressed with the powerful and creative moves of Yuki Ishikawa. I just knew Ishikawa this Tokyo Olympics 2020 since saw him in my news feed in Twitter. People are commending him (even respectable personalities/players) and comforting him and Team Japan. Actually, I love volleyball (but was focus on local teams and players only). So I was curious on him and guess what, till now cant get over of him. My first international volleyball idol. After high school, he went to chuo university and immediately went to italy for student programe. Since then, he has always been playing in italy for his clubs till now n i think all the experiences what makes him a legend player in japan. Nishida has an amazing jump and power but in serve, in block, in game reading Ishikawa much better. For example, the match against Brazil, Italy he was the real Ace.
