Watching volleyball in real life makes me realize what nishinoya said is true. Blocks and spike receive loud cheers also from the spectators. But being a libero, the cheers are different when u able to receive the difficult balls. Wowww

I personally don't like using them either - find them pretty restricting. Sweat and leg hair is a good enough cushion for me.

He doesn't only save. He receives it in the softest way possible to give it back to setter as high as its possible, that's why he falls nearly after every attack. That requires so much concentration and body control. Damn🤯🔥

To me the libero has the most skill and has the most respect from me out of all positions. They are key to the defence and this doesn’t sound very scientific but they look soooo cool and it looks really hard to be a good libero too

Honestly, I think it gives him a way higher advantage than most liberos. It means that he MUST move quickly and faster than those on his team to get the ball. 😅 I applaud him for not wearing kneepads cause surely he must get tons of bruises!

Yo, the height difference is insane!! Saw it especially at 0:48 when Yamamoto gave his teammate a fistbump. I always thought Haikyuu was exaggerating, but that looks like a foot and more difference between some of these guys. Makes it easier to roll, but jeez I can't imagine how intimidating that is. Especially since some of those saves looked like he was trying to redirect a rocket. Mad respect!!

an incredible play will never happen without a great receive. a consistent reception can even cause mental strain to the other team, that's why liberos are important,they keep the ball alive. in this sport whoever drops the ball first looses. i think this is what nekoma meant with their team motto "connect"

I don't know who it is, but there's a guy in this video with a crazy powerful serve. Everytime he serves, you can hear the huge smack when his palm meets the ball. Reminds me of Oikawa with his super powerful serve.

I don’t know much about volleyball , but it’s amazing how he is able to receive those balls high enough and perfectly to this the setter so they can counter attack with no issues , it’s like he is not thinking about just saving the ball but also about how he can get it to his setter in the best way possible

Yow whaaat? I just watched video of the 56th Haruko highschool boys game Seijoh high vs Ohtsuka for the first time, then clicked this one. It blows my mind seeing #14 Ishikawa playing here is the same kid I literally just watched moments ago playing for Seijoh high - turns out the 56th Haruko was around a decade ago ! Woah! The dude's living the MC life he was so young and scrawny in highschool but his hits were already solid back then - really amazing to see he actually made it and went pro - he's all grown up too! I feel like a proud aunt ~!
