Masahiro Sekita - The Hero Behind the Success of the Volleyball Team Japan. Masahiro Sekita (関田 誠大, Sekita Masahiro, born 20 November 1993) is a Japanese male professional volleyball player from Tokyo.[1] He currently plays in V.League Division 1 for JTEKT Stings and Japan men's national volleyball team. He used to be the captain of Japan U-21 national team in 2012 Asian Junior Men's Volleyball Championship[2] and 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship.

It is very true. I believe that commentaries should address all and each player. Yamamoto, as well as Sekita, Yamauchi, Onodera, Kentaro Takahashi, and all of the rest of the team, do so well and that's the reason for the Japanese team be so successfully great. We should also mention the great trainer they have.

I remember a few years ago, 2018, 2019, in videos like this there were many comments saying that Japan needed a taller setter if they wanted to make it to higher level. I’m so happy that Sekita is getting sooooo good that no one is concerned about his height anymore.

Sekita runs this offense so well! His touch and accuracy with his sets is so impressive! And combine that with the speed of his sets, especially in transition! So satisfying to watch! Underrated athlete as well.

Yes Sekita has been amazing for a long time, the accuracy, and that accelerated tempo in any combination he serves. I love that he's quite ballsy too, running the pipe often, and just generally keeping the tempo fast. (And when i think - he's only 2 cm taller than me, playing in the men's league. Hm....I have no excuses.....) I have to say though, what a surprise Miyaura has been at this tournament!!! Love to see new players absolutely smashing it

素人目ですが、雑な返球も渾身のトス上げをして、アタッカーも全力で突っ込んでくるし、ネットくぐってボール戻せるほどのレシーブ能力、そして、アタッカーが注目されがちだけど、良くみたら相手ブロック一人とか、最高の場合いないくらいの時もある。恐らく瞬時に判断して味方アタッカーを選別してボール振ってますよね。そこに強力なアタッカー陣が全力で打ち込む。凄い機能的組織になりましたね。
