Powis Castle & Gardens - Quiet Walks (160)

Powis Castle and Gardens National Trust, This Medieval castle built by Welsh princes. Remodelled over centuries into the grand home of the Herbert family.
The gardens are Grade I listed, including 17th century Italianate terraces with gigantic clipped yews, and an Edwardian Formal Garden.
We chose a cold and rainy day, but were kept warm and dry in the Courtyard cafe.
The Clive Museum is extremely informative, it is a collection of South Asian artefacts, dating from 1600 to the 1830s.

Thank you for watching, always appreciated. We had looked forward for many months to visit Powis Castle, but didn’t expect it to be cold and wet! Unfortunately an extensive garden walk was not on, next time. Take care both and best wishes. Graham
