You should definitely check out TrimUI Smart Pro! Much larger screen, better PSP performance, and can be often found for really cheap.

Tried lumines, a 2d puzzle game and dissapointed to see it doesnt not run flawlessly. It is surprising given you can run some 3d games well.

the screen on the powkiddy v10 is not 2x the resolution of a psp, so even if the cpu was strong enough to 2x it, it wouldnt works since the screen isnt at least 2x the native resolution

Lol that's one of the first things I did. It works. It's a bit slow but if you set the zoom level to 130% it's not bad. With only a dpad, you'll likely run into an issue with placing buildings
