For Mushroom logs, not only are the types of trees nearby important (they influence what kinds of mushrooms you get), but the number of trees are also important, the more trees you have, you'll be more likely to get more mushrooms from a single harvest, and they'll have a chance of being higher quality.

Its interesting, despite Haley being considered one of the meanest marriage candidates she is possibly the easiest and fasted person to romance. Because she likes daffodils and her birthday is before the flower dance you can get her to high enough hearts before the dance. You can also marry her before spring is even over. And if you can't manage to get her to enough hearts before summer, great news! She loves sunflowers! And if you can unlock the desert super early she loves coconuts. She is, considering her reputation, quite easy to please

If you want more cave jelly, an easy way to do this is to get a lava eel fishing pond. You get soooo many cave jellies from those suckers

That’s definitely not easier than fishing it out on floor 100 of regular mines. Jelly is affected by luck so go there on a lucky day and fish as close to you as possible to reduce chance of eel. I guess ponds are ok if you don’t need them next season or plan on making LOTS of fish dehydrators, but if you wanted them quicker fishing them out for a day or two is much faster than dealing with fish ponds.

If you're able to get the treasure chests from fishing and pick up the Jewel of the Sea book, those can be traded at the bookseller for cave jellies too. It's not quicker or easier, but it is another way to get cave jellies.

Fun fact on perfection and perfection waivers: It is cheaper to buy waivers than build the buildings from the wizard. More specifically, it is cheaper for the desert and island obelisks, as well as the gold clock. Each obelisk is worth 1% of perfection, but the beach and island obelisks each cost 1,000,000 gold. Two perfection waivers provide the same 2% of perfection as the obelisks, but for a total of 1,000,000 gold. The gold clock is even more noticable in difference, as it is 10,000,000 gold for 10% of perfection. Ten perfection waivers is only 5,000,000 gold. Basically, in all these cases, the waivers are a 50% reduction in price. Not to mention the savings on resources for the obelisks.

You have a point, however I think the convenience of fast travel to the desert and the island are worth getting the obelisks for (rather than crafting desert and island warp totems for each time you want to go as they both require expensive resources).

not quite. Both the earth and water obelisk actually cost 500k g each, so they cost as much as the waivers while having more function (although they're rarely used). Also, while it would be cheaper to get waivers instead of the island and desert obelisks, they are much more convenient than if you were to constantly make warp totems or pay to travel to each location, as well as limiting your travel times to npc's schedules.

fun fact! i learned in my play time that the raccoon quests dont actually seem to require the specific item he asks for? like if he asks for pickled pumpkin, he seems to accept any pickles. maybe its just a weird conflict of the mods i play with, but its sure convenient when he requests something weirdly specific that i can offer something a bit more generic

This has happened for me too, he'll accept any smoked fish, not just the one he asks for, too. The only exception I've noticed is it has to be the same crab pot fish if he asks for them.

I hope we get to see some more footage of the desert festival, there are so many cool things there, and the special skull caverns with calico egg challenge is a very fun addition to the game! For the mushroom logs, I just put them between all my trees I have for oak resin tapping, it's free passive mushrooms and they do well in the dehydrator.

Just started Physical Therapy School, and so in the days leading up to starting, with moving, I didn’t get to play. Now that I’ve started the program, I don’t see myself playing much in the next few months. So, essentially I really appreciate the video, allowing me to enjoy some Stardew Valley. I believe I heard it from leapalot but for the prismatic slime quest you should farm lvl 1-20 of the caves because slimes bats and bugs are the only thing that spawns with slimes being prioritized.

Love this video! Regarding mushroom logs, the MORE variety trees you have surrounding it, the higher number of mushroom u get in single harvest and the quality too! So basically need a forest haha, but if no room in your farm for a lot of trees, u can use Cindersap Forest to spam in trees and then put all mushroom logs in there :D Now roll on to the next 100 days, onto 300 days! I can't wait to see it.

You don't really need it but you can dehydrate some grapes to make raisins and if you place raisins in your junimo huts the junimo's have a 20% chance to double harvested crops
