One thing that works way too well for me is on a solo push not shooting default cams if they’re not watching them so they don’t immediately know someone’s that side of map if check cams but only ever works if you’re pushing solo and other 4 are pushing separately together elsewhere

Imo prox alarms aren't worth most of the time bc the attackers needs to focus on the barb rather than preparing for the fight/ to proceed or suffer the health loss if they ignore it. And the barb works better bc it offers an audio cue as well for you to swing. The only exception to the rule is if the area is more open than where you would want to place the barbed wire. Then proxy is worth then.

The answer is only play near where you set up the barb/ turn up your sound. *pro tip: A good rule of thumb is to place barbs on stairs that are just out of sight, this will work on a good majority on players and net you some free kills because of how high traffic these choke points are. (It's always a good idea to play near your set-up/ only focus on one or two spots on the map and play around those.)
