Definitely. Catherine and Jack I believe will beat Anna Leigh and Ben sometime this year. Jack is so fast, tall, can change direction of his shots so quickly and anticipates extremely well. He is not afraid to poach and often which is something you don't see too much in pro PB. As Jack continues to improve, play more tournaments, he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Actually what I see is that the Johns and perhaps many other pros see Jack as an outsider (and Jack probably feels that way given his short time on the PPA) and is trying to ingratiate himself to the top veteran pros in the game. Good strategy. I also think the likes of the Johns and Johnson’s see him as a big competitive threat to their current rule of the Pickleball roost. I mean it only took like three tournaments before sock was playing at their level making it to finals and winning with ALW in 2023 in NC. Pretty amazing really

PPA needs to get its act together on video quality. Many viewer/players watch to learn and that takes good angles, clear video, ... not cutting off the receiving player in the near court, etc. etc. APP seems ahead with this - including use of slow motion.
@KatherineSmith-s3vАй бұрын
I totally agree! It’s frustrating when the video quality makes it hard to follow the game or learn from the pros. Good angles and clear shots make a huge difference. The APP's use of slow motion is a great touch-they seem to understand what viewers need. Hopefully, the PPA steps up their game soon!

I am new to this sport and I am learning the rules. This video really confused me. From what I see in this video each player of one team has to serve and lose the serve for the side out to happen? Practically one team has to lose the “point” twice for the other team to get the serve? Has this always been the case or is this a rule that has changed recently? I am asking because I have been watching all sorts of videos on KZbin about the rules and nowhere did I hear this. Honestly this doesn’t make much sense to me.

It’s true of all pickleball yes, called “side-out” rules. It’s a really dumb rule
@sarahkatebambam67459 ай бұрын
the rule is each player from a team has to serve once that’s why they call it first serve and second serve. Then, second rule is you only score a point when you’re serving.

@parkercrossland410 oh 100% agreed. I was more commenting on how the casters constantly give credit to the opposing team for unforced errors. Someone can miss the most simple dink and the desk is like "that's such a good cross court dink from Ben Johns. Really jammed him up". Lmao
