a suggestion - please ask the commentators not to reference results of other matches in their commentary. Other than that, I’m really enjoying the coverage. 😊

Love QD but you can not drive every shot. Too many speed ups saw his partner taking the brunt on the fast return. CJ is more poised and works his drops forcing his opponents to make the error. Love his sneaky Ernie flicks.

No shot in particular spurned this, just a building thought. Honestly it blows me away there are not line judges. You’d think when players are playing for money there’s a much higher chance they’ll be biased towards their own best interests. There needs to be a couple third party unbiased line judges for matches. You’d think if not the whole tournament at least on the championship court or on championship Sunday to start out

and they should have a couple ball boys. Nothing professional about pro players having to look under tables and seating to retrieve a ball......so non pro environment.

QD and CJ have a the mindset that if the ball is close than the ball is out. I hope this isn't the new pickleball way.

I wonder how much better QD could play if Daddy wasn't in his head!? He looked at his dad 5,523 times! The ugliest thing in sports is parents living their lives through their kids! I apologize in advance to those who won't understand what I'm saying!

The thing with qd playing hard and fast, if he doenst get ya out of there in 3 or 4 games, its a wrap. He fazes out .. he loses stamina thru the longer matches for sure. Its like tyson , in boxing if he cant ko you under 5 rounds its over

At 1:20:01, kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqSZnod7a56BrZosi=E72KsUCKWcXd6-wX&t=4801 , I'm pretty sure CJ's left foot is on the kitchen line when he lunges for the ernie. I think they may have missed a foot fault call.

Before touching the ball, the last touch on the field was with the right foot. (so it cannot be considered a foul). 3:39 TYSON has a foot foul

I dont like him for a multitude of reasons and I agree with you wholeheartedly. CJ is awesome to watch, being a lefty in particular being a decent factor as well. But seeing him paired with QD makes me want to root for the opposition every single time. 1. He only knows how to play fast. Very little patience and that gets his partners killed a lot for absolutely free with horribly timed speedups 2. Nearly every speedup of his is a body shot (Which is why Ben Johns hit that rocket at him a few weeks back) 3. The damn tennis grunting. Dude started to tennis grunt during his dinks like Aftol Merchant. The PPA needs to do something about it at some point. Annoying to watch and I bet it is annoying as hell to play against, too 4. His line calls are usually pretty abysmal. I see him get overturned basically every game he plays. Anything remotely close to the line is typically called out Edit: fair point to some other commenters, hitting to the body is a perfectly legitimate way to play. It's more that he ONLY hits to the body and it is starting to get his partners killed when his speed ups are just getting easily countered

@@americanodude In QD's defense. 1. He is changing the game and forcing the best to play faster. He is pushing the boundaries of what is possible in pickleball. You may not like the direction of the game but you must respect the skill level. To hit with so much power and still have accuracy and consistency is pretty amazing. 2. Nothing wrong with body shots. If you can't handle body shots then stop playing the game. Its the right strategy because its hard to defend up close. Nobody has ever gotten hurt from a body shot. 3. Tennis grunting is how he gets his power. He hits harder than most and it has been scientifically proven to give you a short burst of power. The amount of power and spin from his serve is among the best in the pros and I would say he probably gets the most spin out of anyone in the PPA. 4. Can't speak for his line calls, but that's why we have refs.

In table tennis, making a loud noise during a rally is generally considered poor sportsmanship and it not allowed, as it can deliberately distract your opponent.
