I’d like to recommend James’ KZbin channel. He’s personable, humble, and offers some good playing advice. No affiliation. 👍🏿

Amazingly few live spectators. It’s a player’s sport more than a spectator sport.

1) it’s a weekday; and 2) ticket prices for courtside seats were probably excessive. At the recent PPA Milwaukee Open, weekend courtside seat tickets were $100 for the a.m. session $100 for the p.m. session. That was compared to $30 for general admission all day. The general admission ticket price, though, was an outstanding value because of the ability to get extremely close to athletes, both on the courts and watching their friends or upcoming opponents on the non-center courts. And, if you are on the email list of a pro who is participating in the tournament, you might be able to get a discounted coupon for entrance.

@ fair points. But tennis matches of this caliber on a weekday would draw large crowds. I love pickleball, and play both sports.

DZ is one of my favorite professionals but she has green smoke rising from her body today. that was fear, and intimidation. But she will come back. she is getting way better. just not this tournament.
