How to fix Ikea pax wardrobe on the wall. In this video, we have 3 Ikea pax wardrobe frames join together and I will be securing them to a solid wall without skirting board. In the future will do another video how to secure Ikea pax wardrobe on the wall with skirting board.

I think you’re the best. I have almost completely assembled the tall wardrobe (I’m a 76 yr old lady) thanks to you, but after connecting the top to the sides, I see that I have inserted one of the cam locks upside down!!!!!!!!! I’m assuming I can gently slide the top away from the side and remove the cam and reinsert it right side up. My concern is getting the cam out without damaging it. Can I just pull it out with a tool? Can you help me with this problem?

I'm so glad I found your channel yesterday! Your videos helped me get three of these same wardrobes together without struggling trying to make sense of IKEA directions. Thanks so much for not dubbing weird music into your videos too :) Tomorrow I'll be attaching the frames to a concrete wall but I'm planning to use a rotary hammer and tapcon screw anchors because these walls take a lot of force, even with hammer drill. Two of the brackets need to be moved about 6" lower due to a basement window being behind them. It looks like that shouldn't be a problem, but would like to know your thoughts. Do you think it's ok to move it? If worse comes to worst, I could just use one anchor in those two frames since they will be attached to another wardrobe. Thanks again! Where did you find such a straight wall? My wall has differences on the mounting points up to about 10mm. I added wood as spacers to make it flat before I attached the frames.

I have two frames. Would it be better to first secure one frame to the wall, then clamp the second frame to the first frame before securing the second frame to the wall? In my mind it would mean less adjusting since the first frame will not move around.

How far down from the top of the cabinet is the wall anchor bracket? I am putting backer boards in our wood framed wall and want to make sure I have a solid anchoring system behind the back of the Pax cabinet.

Your video is very helpful ! What if where you need to attach to the wall is a stud ? And what if there is no stud ? There are no cement wall like yours. Please help !

If there is wooden stud you can secure wardrobe just with screw straight to the stud. If plasterboard wall use proper wall plugs for plasterboards but before securing the screws make sure wardrobe leaning towards wall so there is no pressure on the screws. Plasterboard is soft and will not hold the weight.

I've just fixed mine to drywall, just need the correct wall plug. I've also added additional brackets on top of the wardrobes as i will be building a false wall to give it the built-in look

Yes. The best option find the studs if you can. If not use proper wall plugs.

Of i have 2 sets of pax joint togather, do i still need to attach them to wall from back? I mean such long system looks sturdy as 4 units are all attached togather

Depend if you have skirting board, if you go directly to the wall or if you use small wooden pieces to space the skirting board plus depending on size of the wall plugs if you go directly to the wall.

By doing it this way, all the dust from the drilling is falling between the wardrobe and wall. Not very clean.
