@@ColumbiaBeet That video was faked with the use of the broken Realizer control unit for sale by Big City Music. The actual Realizer had a 16 color display.

I’m actually surprised that big city audio or whatever the name of that music store could have one for sale on reverb and their webpage for over 100k and not have a video about it. Makes me think it might not work or something.

It doesn't. The unit they're selling is just the controller. The real processing came from a 6U unit that is actually visible in this video. It had 8 control knobs and not one but TWO Motorola 68000 series processors! The processor unit could also communicate with other PPG gear. The control box connected to the processing unit through a trunkline connecting to the ports on the back. The Realizer on Reverb has NO operating system, the floppy disks advertised have no meaning, and the CRT has gone bad. The video they share by NIN whatever has no validity as the Realizer had a full 16 COLOR display.

Der Realizer, der *REALIZER*, und er ist auch noch eingeschaltet, ich werd nicht mehr... Da steht eine der sagenumwobensten Legenden der Synth-Ära in der Ecke und wird einfach so ignoriert, was für eine Schande :-)

Mr. Palm, sir.. an honor. I've spent many hours in front of PPG Wave 2.x synths (and a tiny slice of that in front of a WaveComputer 360) awesome machines... Was just curious, was the HDU built around a 68000 with a 56001 DSP? (that would be the only way I could think of getting enough processing power, at the time) :)
