Massive respect for Benevidez for taking this fight. Unfortunately, we a living in a new era where boxers care way to much about their win lose records and a huge pay check, avoiding the tough fights. In a way, this was the only logical move for Benevidez because Canelo is obviously dodging him. When you demand 50 million to fight Benevidez, that says a lot about your chances of not winning. Benevidez is a brutal puncher but he has horrible footwork. Morrell is very good in the boxing and foot work but does not have Benevidez's experience. Height wise, Benevidez has only an inch advantage which will be very interesting. Morrell has a four inch reach advantage. Morrell's Cuban style will push him fast and furious in the early rounds but Benevidez is a late round monster. Meanwhile, Canelo sits on the side lines with his post traumatic stress disorder issues after the Bivol loss. This is causing him to cherry pick opponents, and fight tomato cans. This without question, will be an awesome fight with a result that may demand a rematch. It's a 50/50 fight. Super slight edge for Benevidez. Morrell will have to keep his foot on the gas pedal to win by split decision. Which is possible because he is in tremendous shape and is still young. In conclusion, as good a boxer these both are, neither can beat Bivol or Beterbiev. It would be great to watch in any case.
