If the aim of the podcast was to make the host look like someone who knows jack, then it was the best podcast ever. Saying the first thing which comes to the mind without a second thought must be pretty easy when the lights in the brain are turned off. Hats off to Jammy for carrying the podcast. Been a follower since long, where I have known you; but after watching this video, I understand you. And so would many of your subscribers who watched this video

Since discovering and becoming a subscriber of Tried & Refused Productions this past summer, I have also watched many of Anmol's previous appearances on various KZbin channels, and I never miss out on a new podcast interview with him. I like seeing him in a more casual setting and enjoy listening to his takes on movies, his perspectives on the film industry and hearing him talk about his own journey, both professional and personal. He is incredibly intelligent, well spoken, knowledgeable and engaging. I had been waiting for this interview since Anmol teased it in an Instagram story over a month ago. After finishing the video; however, I am left slightly underwhelmed. The topics are becoming repetetive, to the point where I have heard the same exact stories regurgitated on several podcasts. Anmol is not to be blamed for this. It is the hosts who ask him the same generic questions, instead of doing a bit of research and coming up with something fresh. When I tune in for an Anmol interview, he is the main draw for me. I don't follow any of the channels he has guested. Lately, I have noticed a common thread among the hosts of these podcasts and the way they conduct interviews, and I would like to share a few thoughts. 1. There is usually little to no structure. The conversation tends to veer off in multiple directions, which feels chaotic at times. I get a sense that the host has done zero prep and is just winging it. Anmol is actually the one who oftentimes has to steer the ship and keep the discussion from getting completely sidetracked. I understand that a podcast is supposed to be more informal and free-flowing than a traditional interview, and there should absolutely be room for spontaneity. Still, in my experience, the best interviewers have a basic outline in mind and are able to play around within that framework, while simultaneously have an organic exchange. This is where journalistic training comes in handy. Most podcasters are not journalists, and that's totally fine. Yet in comparison, if you look at Anmol's interviews on his own channel, you will notice a clear difference. He does his homework and asks incisive, thoughtful and interesting questions, which in turn engage both the interviewees, as well as the audience. Effort is appreciated. 2. A majority of the hosts lack basic listening skills and have seemingly short attention spans. I have watched Anmol chat with Shan Prasher, Shwetabh Gangwar, Men of Culture (they are a fun bunch), Vedant Rusty, and now Aftab Puttoo, among others. Some of these guys love the sound of their own voice and go on long rants, almost forgetting about the guest. Some get over enthusiastic and end up interrupting a lot. Others appear to be tuned out, constantly looking around, fiddling and mumbling. I am sure they are not doing this intentionally, and we all have our personal quirks, but it is so important to be aware of your body language and how you are coming across to your guest and audience, especially when you are on camera. All this is in sharp contrast to when Anmol guested Chumma Conversations with Satshya. She came prepared, asked great questions, showed genuine curiousity and possessed a warm quality, while maintaining a professional demeanour. I do want to add that a majority of these interviews were done via video call during the pandemic, and I understand the challenges and awkwardness that can occur in that setting. In conclusion, I will keep tuning in to any video featuring Anmol Jamwal. However, I do hope for a greater variety in the topics that are covered, as well as some more effort and professionalism from the hosts. PS: These are my personal opinions, and I realise that others might feel differently. I am also fully aware that most people won't bother to read such a long comment, haha. I still needed to get this off my chest.

ya i am saying this purely out of my love for watching podcasts.....no harm but the host needs to open up more with the guests like he feels more shy to be on his own podcast as compared to the guests.....in one of these moments anmol asks him the most basic question of how all people like zyad khan and isha deol get to rewamp and have this privilege now and the host says i dont understand the corelation...and i'm like ummm what how to do you not get this basic thing...i know its a little to much to say but no hate the the host its purely out for him to get better interactions with the guests.
